it's for skyrim special edition but it works exactly as intended for me on skyrim legendary edition unlike other mods on here so I reuploaded it.

mod description:
Edits the DialogueFollower quest alias: Follower and Animal to be ESSENTIAL instead of PROTECTED.

This is an incredibly simple mod that sets the "Follower" and "Animal" aliases in the DialogueFollower quest to be ESSENTIAL rather than PROTECTED. This mod also affects custom followers if they use the vanilla Skyrim Follower system. Or at least use the Alias stuff. This mod is DLC Compatible, so no patches or extra .esps are needed.

This mod allows for Followers to be set to essential (or immortal, for those who are unfamiliar with the term) ONLY while they are following you. Meaning if you commit crimes in a town, and they get pissed and leave, you can kill them from then on. Because they are no longer your follower.

DO NOT RUN WITH FOLLOWER SYSTEM OVERHAULS LIKE AMAZING FOLLOWER TWEAKS, UFO, EFF

You can kill them no? Maybe some exceptions but I killed a couple of mine somehow by "accident"...

Would you make an addon that makes followers killable even if theyre folllowing you since theres no addon that does that on the workshop please? Ive always hated that mercenary followers are unkillable even though theyre supposed to be expendable but still be able to make other followers like Serena protected (mainly so I dont break the entire quest lol)
