Solution for the Cloud issue to save your game

After I had lost all my progress some time ago and had to start from scratch all over again, I was trying for many weeks to find the save folder. And now, I finally found it at long last. So since you all had the same issue and lost all your progress, I now want to share with you what you must do to avoid it in the future.
Note: this won't bring you back your lost saves, it just avoids that it happens again.

1) First of all, you should deactivate the cloud (just for House Flipper) because this is very important, especially as long as it causes these problems. To deactivate it, right-click on the game cover in your library or on the name of the game in the list on the left and then uncheck the cloud function.

2) Then first create a folder somewhere separately (on an external hard disk, on an USB-stick or on your computer in the files folder). This new folder, you can call like "Steam - All savegames" or something like that. Double-click to open it and create another folder called House Flipper.

3) Then go to C:/User/your name/AppData/LocalLow/Empyrean/House Flipper Game. Inside this last folder, there is everything from your game, including the last savegame. Copy just this House Flipper Game-folder into your just newly created separate folder (into the one just called House Flipper). Now you have your latest savegame saved separately.

4) From now on, every time you finish playing the game or whenever you want to save the latest savegame, first delete the old House Flipper Game-folder (the one inside the folder called "House Flipper" you had created separately under step 2). Then go to the House Flipper Game-folder on harddrive C as described under 3), the one with the new savegame. Copy it and then paste it in the separately created folder called "House Flipper", the one you created under 2) .
To make it easier, you can first open these two windows at the same time so that you can then switch between them when first deleting the old folder and then copying + pasting the other one.


In case your files and folders are still hidden, you can show them quickly with just a few easy clicks so that you can get to the Empyrean folder =

Also, there should be a folder in your Documents folder called "House Flipper" and inside, there should be also a backup. I never tried it with backups myself, only always the separate saving like described in my guide and it works perfectly for me and also for other players.



Backup
As mentioned above,I haven't tried it this way myself but know from others that it worked for them to get back all their lost progress. So here is what you can try:
Go to C:\Users\yourname\AppData\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\Profiles.backup . If your savegame was in Profile 1, copy this folder Profile 1 (or the one with your lost progress) and paste it into the Profiles folder C:\Users\yourname\AppData\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\Profiles . This should bring back lost progress in general.


ATTENTION:
If you play with several computers, it is possible that at least one of them does not have the Empyrean folder in LocalLow. Then you have to check your other computers and copy it where you find it and paste it into the others at LocalLow so that you have the possibility to save the last separate savegame on every computer as described above.

It all works great for me this way (of course I always deactivate the cloud) and if something happens to the game or the computer later, I always have the separate last savegame and don't have to start all over again. Likewise, when I buy a new computer one day in the future, I simply copy + paste it there in the Empyrean-folder.

Many thanks for the description but unfortunately, I've been unable to get a screenshot behind the text. I made one of the box where you check/uncheck the Cloud and it did appear but not behind the last sentence of 1) . It was here before the comments start. I then deleted it and tried again + again but I just can't figure out how to make it shop up after 1) .
Maybe we can add each other as friend and then you could maybe add screenshots of the steps I have to follow in the message box via our libraries. Then I could try and follow your screenshots if this would be okay with you. :-) Maybe I would be successful by seeing the sections you describe rather than just trying to understand the words, especially as English is not our first language.

I don't know if I can explain it correctly, but when you have made the manual, you must select it, click "edit section", then in editing mode put the mouse in the part after the text where you want to place the photo, select "Images, screenshots, videos" on the right side, then select and click on the Image that you uploaded or screenshots - select the original size and wait for the download, then check how everything looks in Preview mode and publish

Unfortunately, I don't know how to add screenshots in a guide (between the text), so I can't do so although I would like to be able to. With some guides, it would be really more helpful that way. But remember, I haven't tried myself what I described about backups and profile 1, so that's another thing.

If you know how to add screenshots in the text, it would be great to let me know with the single steps. :-)

Otherwise, I'm very glad that you were able to get back your lost savegame thanks to my guide. To avoid that it happens again, just follow the descriptions above. I always send the latest savegame to a separate folder outside the game and of course I also always have the cloud disabled. Glad I could help you. :-)

The only thing I can add, it would be cool if you added screenshots to the guide.I couldn't figure out for a very long time how to properly change the save to profile 1 from the backup, he reset it.I realized later, and I understand that I just blunted, nevertheless, screenshots would make the guide more complete.

Thank you very much, holy man! My saves completely flew off more than 3 times, I watched other guides, but they didn't help me in any way and I just accepted it.And now my game save has been deleted again, but I was able to get it back thanks to you! Thank you, really thank you.

It was really important and the right thing that you told me and asked about it because as you said, in the first wording, you would have deleted the folder from drive C and then you could no longer have copied + pasted it anywhere anymore which would have been so bad. But now with the correct wording, it will work as it should.:-) So thanks so much for telling me. :-)

As for step 4, you're right, I'm sorry (English is not my first language and I mixed up the folders but will change that immediately in the description). So thanks so much for telling me about my fault. Of course it's the other way round: before you want to save the last savegame, you must delete the OLD House Flipper Game-folder in the one called "House Flipper" that you had created under step 2. Then copy the new savegame (= House Flipper Game-folder) and paste it into the separately created House Flipper folder. This is the correct way. :-) To make it easier, you can open these two windows at the same time so that you can switch between them before deleting the one and copying + pasting the other one. :-)
