"A Happy Ending" Simple Vers.

This achievement took me literally 4 tries attempting to follow other guides (not knowing what I was doing wrong) and was so frustrated I decided to make my own so others don't experience this pain.

So here it is; the most simple and straight-forward version of this guide you'll find.

THIS GUIDE CONTAINS SPOILERS. If you don't wish to be spoiled, don't scroll!

Requirements for the fake SPARK profile to work (PRE END-GAME);

Things to note BEFORE you reach the point where Taylor suggests you make a fake SPARK profile;

~ You DO NOT have to get Murv terminated from Faraday. I saw some (non-steam) guides saying you have to do this, but it is definitely not necessary. Whether or not you do this does not make or break getting this achievement. I personally didn't do this in my specific playthrough.

~ You HAVE to get Taylor to trust you enough to listen to you in end-game. Back him up against Greg and support his plans- both to gain access to Anna's work computer and to make a fake Spark account.

~ DON'T REVEAL YOURSELF TO ASHLEY! You have to leave her in the dark until the end. When she confesses her feelings for Anna, tell her you feel the same way. She will then send you the selfie you need to get this achievement.

~ This achievement will work regardless of where Greg is. I once again saw some (non-steam) guides saying you need to get Greg arrested; this is not true. I got the achievement in the third path for Greg where he goes to the cops to report Anna's disappearance on his own.

The SPARK Profile;

This is where I kept messing up- and ultimately was the reason I had to restart SO many times.
Something I noticed about this game is that it's very picky on things like capitalization... if you type something in all caps, chances are its not accepted as the right answer. This applies here- BE CAREFUL!

~ DO NOT USE ASHLEY'S LAST NAME! For the name, just type "Ashley" or "ashley". DON'T TRY TO OVER-COMPLICATE IT!

~ The age I used was 22. (EDIT: Apparently any age between 21-15 will work here)

~ Tagline and about me DO NOT affect anything. Put whatever you like here.

~ Tags MUST include; Moving On & Finding Love. The rest can be random, or whichever you see fit.

~ Any photos other than the one you receive once reciprocating Ashley's feelings WILL NOT WORK.
It must be the selfie right before her final voice message to you.


If you've done everything right so far, "Anna" will recognize you. Her first message should be "Ashley?!".

THE SPARK SIMULACRUM (END-GAME);

This part is pretty straight-forward in its own. I will share my exact dialogue choices- I do not know if you can vary from these for sure, but I do know that you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to say; "Can I save both?", "All life is precious" and "Both of them should be saved".

MAKE SURE YOU SAY "DONT GO YET" TO TAYLOR.
WHEN HE DOES GO, TELL HIM TO "GO TO HER."


MY DIALOGUE CHOICES;

This is after you call out the Simulacrum for impersonating Anna.

to SIMULACRUM
- Where is Anna?
- Who are you?
- You are in the phone?
- I just want to save Anna
- Why are you doing this?
- Not everything is about online personas
- And your point?
- Like how you killed James?
- Leave Taylor out of this!

to TAYLOR
- No! That's not Anna!
- Why is she only appearing now?
- You are going to be the next victim!
- DONT GO YET, give me some time first <-- VERY IMPORTANT
- Let me talk to "Anna" first

to SIMULACRUM
- Because you are wrong
- They don't need to die!
- Is there anything I can do
- You don't know what the real world is like
- Who gives you that right?
- I will prove you wrong
- I want an alternative
- Can I save both? <--
- All Life is Precious <--
- Both of them should be saved <--
- Do I have your word?

to TAYLOR
- Is she there?
- You have no idea
- You found her! Go!! <--
- It was a team effort

to SIMULACRUM
- I'm sure there is a catch
- I am better than you

- What will happen to Ashley?
- You underestimate them
- Our material life is not meaningless
- Will I see you again?

After your conversation with the Simulacrum ends, you will receive the achievement.
After the phone screen cracks, you will get the ending cut-scene with both Anna and Taylor.

Just to let you know, after playing through and changing up some of the dialogue, the only important parts are
- Can I save both? <--
- Both of them should be saved <--
and then having Taylor go to her without pushing her down.
