HOW TO PLAY


In Galactic Wars Ex, you’ll be controlling one of the 3 ships from the Earth Force. Each mission will need your help destroying as many enemies as possible from the continuous alien waves.

You must survive all the enemy swarms by trying to destroy them to the maximum extent and in the shortest possible time, while avoiding being hit by the enemy fire.

At the end of each mission, you’ll be facing one or more Phase Bosses. Once these Phase Bosses are destroyed, you will have completed the mission. Complete all 3 missions to end the alien threat forever!

SHIPS


The eartth force is provided with this tiny but mighty space ships. You'll also be able to update teir features to their max during battle.




Each of the 3 ships have different capabilities and stats offering different gameplay styles.

You will select a ship each time you start a game, join a co-op game, or from the continue screen.

Vulxen 77 is inspired by the mythical Vic-Viper. An extremely fast ship, with a low initial firing power. You'll need to prioritize collecting Fire Power Orbs early, to get decent attack power and arm the 3 bots the ship can carry armed as quickly as possible.

Although it is a ship that starts out very weak and is difficult to control without experience, it is without a doubt one of the favorite ships of galactic pilots. It has up to 3 shields, and although its capacity to load missiles is very limited, it will be one of the most powerful ships if you manage to put all its systems to the limit.

With a design reminiscent of the famous R-9A, this ship is undoubtedly the most balanced option of the 3 ships. Decent initial speed, good fire power, up to 2 shields and 12 missiles!

This is the ship to go for newbies, and one of the greatest options for speed.running. Its massive destruction power and dispersion make this ship one of the favorite options of our pilots.

Gyxus is the "Ultimate Glass Cannon".Massive speed, Amazing Power and no shields.

Gyxus can update to an insane amount of fire power and carry up to 20 missiles, with a speed similar to Lexus69, This ship weakness is its lack of shield.

A difficult but powerful ship, not suitable for novice pilots!


HUD / UI





1 SCORE
Each time an enemy crosses the screen and returns to its original position in formation, the enemy's value will drop to its lowest. After several attacks, if the enemy isn't destroyed, he will escape.

2 HISCORE
Get a high score to be able to enter the global hall of fame record table.

3 CREDITS
Use your credits to join an existing game or continue in the same wave when all your ships are destroyed.

4 PLAYER'S SHIP
This is the players' visual representation in game.

5 ENEMIES
Try to destroy them all! If you get perfect waves, the score multiplier will be activated as well as the next wave will automatically begin.

You must try your best so that no enemy escapes and reaches the earth, our defenses could not hold them if they are too many.

6 - ENERGY CAPSULES / POWER ORBS
During battle, some enemies will drop an orb of power. Collect them to improve your ship's efficiency. Each ship has strengths and weaknesses, learn well how each one works and try to take the most necessary first.

7 HUD
Control your ship state and consult your current stats in this panel during game.

8 POWER BAR
A representation of the player's available energy to shoot.

9 ATTACK
The amount of Fire Power.

10 SPEED
You will need to update your speed if you want to survive, this is essential for quick attack and avoiding.

II SHIELD
The shield level for the ship.

12 BOTS / OPTIONS ACTIVATED
learn more about this little bots in its section, each ship has its own style of using them and different capabilities.

13 MISSILES
Your secondary weapon. Useful to create defense barriers against enemies and projectiles in extreme situations.

14 REMAINING SHIPS
Every 150000 points will reward you with a free ship

I5 PLAYER 2 HUD
Press start at anytime to join game. As long as there are still credits available Player 2 can press start at anytime to join the game.

FIREPOWER, ACCURACY & ENERGY SYSTEM


FIRE POWER

Each bullet you shoot consumes energy. The more powerful your weapon is, the more energy will be used.

The energy bar changes size & colour according to the energy range available for shooting.


Remember not to stay with an empty energy bar in front of the enemy and to check it before your attacks.

ACCURACY & ENERGY SYSTEM

DON'T SHOOT NONSTOP AND LET YOUR ENERGY BAR RECHARGE!

*Each time you get a kill or hit depending on the enemy, an energy orb will fly to your energy bar and fill it with its energy.

This is useful to know. With that in mind it is quite difficult to empty your bar but, if you shoot only to the space, your energy will be always low.

Remember this! Accuracy is key!





POWER ORBS SYSTEM / INGAME SHIP UPGRADES


SPEED
Increases your ship's speed x1 level to the selected ship’s maximum level.




FIRE POWER
Increases your laser bullets power x1 level to the selected ship’s maximum level.


*OPTIONS & FIREPOWER

*When your ship's attack power is at its maximum and you collect an orb of this type, your ship will create an optional attack bot until it reaches the maximum that your ship can carry.

*When you collect one of these orbs with your power at maximum level and all your bots armed, the energy of the bots will be increased to their maximum.



SHIELD
You’ll want to collect this one if you want to be protected from all enemy impact, avoiding to be damaged while having your shield.



MISSILES
Your secondary weapon. Also useful to create defense barriers against enemies and proyectiles in extreme situations.

*If you collect an orb of this type with your missiles at their maximum, you’ll automatically launch 2 missiles.




ENERGY / OVERLOAD FIREPOWER


When you collect an orb of power with any of the characteristics of your ship that is already at maximum level, the orb will automatically transform into energy. You’ll be able to shoot for several seconds while keeping your energy bar intact.
SCORE MULTIPLIERS



If you get perfect waves, the score multiplier will be activated as well as the next wave will automatically begin.




You must try your best so that no enemy escapes and reaches the earth, our defenses could not hold them if they are too many. Each time you miss enemies on a wave, X Multiplier will turn OFF.

COINS & CONTINUE SYSTEM
Just like in the classic arcade cabinets, in Galactic Wars EX you will have limited credits to continue. As long as you have coins left, you can continue playing.


Each game will always start with 4 credits, regardless of whether one or two players play. When the credits run out, there will be no chance to continue, and the game will return to the main screen.

The alarm at station 018 has been re-activated. Alien hordes from the Nebulus sector are now close to our atmosphere; in the look for another planet to colonize.

You are one of the pilots chosen to face this menacing enemy. Our last hope for humanity. With the help from our most advanced ships you must face this threat and prevent our enemy from reaching our planet at all costs. And hopefully, if you survive, travel to their origin and destroy it forever.
