How to enable x86-64 branch

This guide will show you how to enable x86-64 branch which can be used for Media Player and better performance etc.

Why enable it?

x86-64 branch allows multi-core rendering and general better performance.

x86-64 branch also allows you to use addons like Media Player.

How do I enable it?

To follow with ease, we will show images along with the instructions.


First, go into your library and select Garry's Mod.


Right click Garry's Mod and you will see this pop-up menu. See that option we highlighted? Click it.


When you click on properties you will see a menu, pay attention to this area. Click the highlighted option.


You will see this menu. See that highlighted option? Click it.


This pop-up menu will come up. Click the option we highlighted. After you have done that, feel free to close the menu.


Go back to your library, if you see this, Garry's Mod is now on the x86-64 branch.
