What you need to know
First, you need to know how the lobby works.

There are few areas where you can talk with some NPCs (the staff members), with them you can access to different modes.

Use the Warp with LT on your pad, or L with the keyboard, to open the map:

Your main focus will be:
  1. Information (to check schedules, updates and events)
  2. FighterZ Dojo (to earn Zeni offline with PVE)
  3. Tournament Mode (To earn Zeni online with PVP)
  4. Story (If you want to get Lv. 6 abilities)
  5. World Match ( to earn Zeni online with PVP ranked)
  6. Gate (to change server)
  7. Z union (to check/change your union)
  8. "Event zone" (Party Battle or Fighterz Cup)
Just check the green icon above the staff member in Information. The green icon warns players about recently updates which come with new schedules and events.
Daily Login and Anniversaries (Online, Log In)
The easiest way to earn Zeni passively is loging in during some anniversaries or special dates:
  • The "Goku Day" gives you 530.000 Zeni: 5th or 9th May
  • The "Saiyan Day" gives you special rewards: 18th March
  • The Golden Week: 29th April to 5th May (screenshot above)
  • There are weeks where you get 100.000 Zeni every daily login for 14 days.
  • Etc.
Check the official website to know the monthly schedule: https://dbfz.bn-ent.net/information/
Also, you can log in the game the first days of the month to know the latest news.
Tournament of power (Offline, PVE)
This is an offline mode. Profit: 30.900 Zeni every time you complete it.

You can play the Tournament of Power mode whenever you wish to.

You can access to the Tournament of Power at Boot Camp Mode talking with Boot Camp reception: the staff member is going to take you in Fighterz Dojo, where you can get training and play different modes.

The Tournament of Power consists in different modes: you need to unlock Push it Past the limit.

This mode is quick and easy. Your team and the opposing one have only 2400 HP, less than 1/4. A basic combo is enough to get a K.O..

To complete a tournament, you need only 3 fights.
The rewards are 300 Zeni for each match won and 30.000 Zeni for every Push it Past the limit mode completed.

Completing this Elite Tournament will take less than 5 minutes.
Fighterz Tournament (Online, PVP)
This is a limited time fortnightly event. Profit: 100.000 Zeni - 1.000.000 Zeni.

The hardest way to earn Zeni is winning Fighterz Tournaments.
Supported servers are East Coast US, West Coast US, Japan or Brazil (details below).
You can check the list of servers and the schedules by talking with the Information staff member.
If you want to know how to change server, check the section "How to change server" below.

You need to talk with Tournament Mode reception to join a tournament.
Just wait the beginning of the tournament to join or set a reminder.

The tournament will start in 15 minutes, you have to join the game during this time.
You will be taken into Tournament Lobby where you have to wait. Use this time to talk with the Tournament Manager to check the rules and to "warm up" with other players.

The tournament will take around 30 - 50 minutes, it depends if it's necessary to proceed with the preliminaries.

The rewards are:
  • 1.000.000 Zeni and a golden trophy (1st place).
  • 500.000 Zeni and a silver trophy (2nd place).
  • 100.000 Zeni and a bronze trophy (3rd place).

You can play as many tournaments of the same event as you want, in case you fail.
There are always 8 Tournaments and you can join 7 of them, for example:
  • 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM (UTC +1): Japan
  • 1:00 AM and 2:30 AM (UTC +1): Brazil
  • 2:00 AM and 3:30 AM (UTC +1): US, East Coast
  • 5:00 AM and 6:30 AM (UTC +1): US, West Coast

Note: the schedule can change, just check the news to be sure.

The Fighterz Tournament needs 4 players at least to begin. Without players, the event wil be closed.
How to change server
You need to go to the Gate and talk with Gate reception to change a server.

Then you can choose what server you prefer.
Party Battle (Online, PVE, Co-op)
This is a limited time monthly event. Profit: 10.000 Zeni - 700.000 Zeni or more.

The best way to earn Zeni is to complete the Party Battle events (raid boss) with some friends.
Unfortunately, you can't play alone. You need 3 players at least to start the event.

To join, you need to talk with Party Battle reception next to the saiyan space pod.

You have to set a difficulty: Normal (3 battles), Hard (5 battles), Very Hard (7 battles).
To complete the main event, you need to set Very Hard difficult winning 7 consecutive battles.
Then, create a session or join another one. (You can check your wins below the boss counter.)

It recommended to equip a Player Skills with the "Start" button before beginning a Party Battle (see the section below "How to get Player Skills").

Usually, the rewards are:
  • 10.000 Zeni after 3 wins
  • 30.000 Zeni after 5 wins
  • 50.000 Zeni after 7 wins
(These rewards could be earned without limits for the whole event by just replaying the mode.)

After the event, all players will receive 50.000, 100.000, 150.000 and 200.000 Zeni if they completed at least 3, 10, 16 and 20 battles.

Completing a Party Battle on Hard and other 20 battles will reward you 700.000 Zeni at least.
How to get Player Skills
As I said previously, I suggest you to equip a Player Skill to start a Party Battle.

My favorites are:
  • Health Regeneration (it's OP when Sparking is actived)
  • Health Up (adds 1000 HP every level, up to 6000 with Lv.6).
  • Sp. Attack Power Up (OP with boosted final of Gogeta (SS4) and Adult Gohan)
  • Attack Power Up (A lot of damage with auto-combo + Dragon Balls appear)

You can get Player Skills playing Story Mode (abilities Lv. 6 on Hard difficulty) or buying them in the Shop (limited to Lv.5)
Fighterz Cup (Online, PVP, Ranked)
This is a limited time special event. Profit: 30.000 Zeni - 350.000 Zeni

You can check/change your Union to Z Union.

You need to be part of an Union; If you want to be sure to get the best rewards, just check previous winning unions and choose them during the next event.

In order join, you have to talk with the FigherZ Cup Reception next to the golden statue of Mr. ♥♥♥♥♥ (original), o Hercule (USA version).
You will lose and earn League Points as a member of your union. You need to complete at least one fight to get the final reward.

The best unions and all their members are going to win a golden trophy and 100.000 Zeni.
You could also earn 250.000 Zeni extra by fighting at least 10 matches.
Weekend Ranked Match Challange: (Online, PVP, Ranked)
This is a limited time fortnightly event. Profit: 25.000 Zeni - 150.000 Zeni

There are weekends where the main event consists in the simple rank matches BUT with special rewards. These rewards start from 25.000 Zeni up to 75.000 Zeni.

In order to fight ranked matches, you need to talk with World Match reception in World Match.
Conclusion
Earning Zeni is not fast. There are two ways:
  • Farming like there's no tomorrow wasting 60 - 70 hours with "Tournament of Power".
  • Enjoying the game and accumulate Zeni little by little, months after months, with limited time events.
It seems a lot but it's not impossible. Winning the best rewards during a whole month could profit you 3.250.000 Zeni and it requires only 20 hours a month about.

An even easier way to earn Zeni is when a login reward is up for any of these, you can just disconnect from wifi while the blue connection symbol shows before you get into any lobby, hop into offline, get the login bonus, rinse and repeat.

There's also an AFK strat by having an autoclicker set to your select button, rebinding medium attack to the select button, then going to a local battle and choosing Hit vs. Android 16 with cpu strength 1 and 1v1 and just letting it auto rematch and spam medium. It's slow but pretty efficient when you sleep and go to work.

--UPDATE--
The actual guide is broken as result of a Steam issue...
If you see a "double/triple" space line or a missing visual reference, you know it is not a my missing.
Unfortunately, a lot of screenshots and pictures have been corrupted.
I hope to solve it ASAP.

Quality zeni farm guide, I can tell you put a lot of effort and time into making this. Thanks for the guide, I didn't even know about the tournament of power zeni farming, or the dojo in general lol.
