Method A (Farming the First Boss)
This method involves summoning multiple of the Evil's Protector boss using Mysterious Portals and killing them for the loot. Assuming you sell everything that drops, each kill is worth 520 Coins at the Pawn Broker (Force of Wind = 200, Foci = 200, 12 Demonic Bars = 120). You can also sell your Demonic Bars at the Gunsmith for a bigger profit on those, too.

This method is effective relatively early in the game, since even the weakest mid-game armors can sufficiently tank anything the boss throws at you on Normal mode. The only thing to possibly watch out for is the Landing attack, which does 50 base damage.

Do note that you may want to keep some of the Demonic Bars that drop to craft more summoning items, and if you run low on Bat Wings just try and hunt down a Vampire den in the Forest caves, there are usually a few of those around.

Killing 20 alone netted me almost ten thousand coins in only 2 nights of farming.

Method B (Passive Agriculture)
This method involves letting your Farmers farm a ton of Sunflowers and/or Wheat, and then selling them to said farmers in your settlement.

To start, make sure you have a Farmer living in a house that has an 'Enormous' room size score (60+ internal tiles), and 'Unrivaled' furniture score (7 separate pieces of furniture), eating at-least 'Simple' quality food items (raw veggies, berries) from a designated settlement storage chest.

A happy farmer buys your items for more, and takes less breaks from work, making it well worth the investment to make sure they're treated like the king they totally aren't.

If you're feeling like feeding your villagers better food, try Popcorn, which requires just 4 Corn to cook and is a step above raw foods (Fine quality), or if you have a lot of Meat, Meatballs, as they are quite cheap and are one of the foods that give the largest happiness buff (Gourmet quality).

After getting your Farmer nice and happy, begin plowing through neighboring villages to steal all of the Farmland/Wheat/Sunflowers to use in your own settlement (I'm sure they wont mind... for now), and then plant them wherever.

Remember to set all of your farmland as 'Fertilize Zones' in your settlement, farmers automatically fertilize anything inside of them, and everyone will plant/harvest plants in these zones too.

At this point, you should have a steady stream of Sunflowers/Wheat growing, netting you a lot of passive income in the background while you go about and do other tasks. Very Happy farmers were willing to buy Sunflowers for 11 gold a piece, and Wheat for 9 - netting me a solid 2000 Coins for selling a stack of Sunflowers & Wheat to them.

I would also recommend selling stacks of apples to Pawnbroker. I got tons of apples which I don't know where to use (aside from crafting Candied Apple and Potato salads but there are better food). Sold 15 stacks and got 20k coins. So while farming for wheats and flowers, make apple farm as well.

yeha wheat farming is op, thats all, makes nice food because bread is already the "fine" category. so all you need is quite some wood for the fields.

Don't know how many people will need help getting coins anymore as it seems immensely easier now then what these past comments lead me to believe but for anyone wondering the void wizard is a good farm his weapons and pet sell for a decent amount same with the scrolls he drops and the void shards sell for a good bit at the wizard

hunters will buy wool for fairly good prices as well, gather up a large amount of sheep in a pen and you can typically get on average 2 wool per sheep sheared, and a fairly happy hunter will pay 12 per wool.

though automation of this process is locked until later on in the game, a quick half minute stop to shear a couple dozen sheep can get a sharp 500 coins worth of wool without much effort, and you are going to need lots of it anyway

i've actually also found out that crafting stone path on workstation will get you 500 coins per 100 stone path's that's really good when you sell it to a pawnbroker... when i tried to sell other stone tiles it isnt as much, i recommend it if u are hogging tons of stone from mining
