There's some evidence showing the devs talk about Testament like 20 years ago saying Testament is genderless in interviews, I think it's just lazy game translation. Not gonna argue about it though.

It's obvious they just wanna pull a bunch of twittards into the game right before dropping a new season pass. If they wanted a non binary or trans character just make a new one.

Nothing seems to be confirmed yet is the thing. Devs haven't really said anything, most of it just seems to be rumors jumping around the internet from forum to forum
