Different Movement Types In Counter-Strike 1.6

Hey, I am going to go over the most common movement types you can do in Counter-Strike.

Before we get started, for some movement types you need to change your in-game settings thru the console.


Alright lets start!

Default Walking

Default Walking (Should explain itself)

The most simplest moving method.
All you need to do is press W or alternatively you can type +forward in console
The max speed you can get is with a scout 260 u/s
You don't need to change anything in the console for this to work :)

Side Walking

Side Walking (Difficulty 1/5)

This isn't very hard do to and you can get an increase to speed up to +20 u/s
You need look left or right and hold W, Spam A or D.
If you are looking to the left you need to hold W and spam D.
If you are looking to the right you need to hold W and spam A.
Once again you don't need to change any settings, you can do this with default settings.

Bunny Hopping

Bunny Hopping (Difficulty 2/5)

This is more difficult but still easy to do.
Now we will be changing some settings to assist you in bunny hopping.
bind mwheelup +jump (using your mouse wheel to scroll up to jump)
bind mwheeldown +jump (using your mouse wheel to scroll down to jump)
Now when u will scroll with your mouse wheel it will jump, now we are done changing settings.

THIS PART NEEDS YOU TO KNOW HOW TO STRAFE I WILL NOT BE COVERING IT ON THIS GUIDE ILL MAKE ANOTHER ONE IF THIS ONE GETS ATTENTION.
Use your scroll wheel to jump and when you are about to touch the ground use your scroll again to jump and you will successfully do a bunny hop.
You probably can get around ~350 u/s of speed.
Practice this a couple of times and you will be "ph00n" Guaranteed.

Ground Strafing

Ground Strafing (Difficulty 4/5)

Ground strafing is originally known as AKA Russian Walking.
We will need to change more settings this time.
bind mwheelup +duck (using your mouse wheel to scroll up to duck)
bind mwheeldown +duck (using your mouse wheel to scroll down to duck)
fps_max 250 or fps_max 9999
fps_override 1
This is like bunny hopping but you're actually not jumping, you need to scroll down, strafe and get the timing right before you land on the ground to scroll again.
This will probably take you a longer time to learn but this works on sv_airaccelerate 12 and 100 servers.
You can get an UNLIMITED amount of speed.

Stand-Up Ground Strafing

Stand-Up Ground Strafing (Difficulty 3 or 5/5

This is almost the same as Ground Strafing but we are adding the key CTRL to duck again when u scrolled to duck with your scroll wheel.
The console commands.
bind mwheelup +duck (using your mouse wheel to scroll up to duck)
bind mwheeldown +duck (using your mouse wheel to scroll down to duck)
fps_max 250 or fps_max 9999
fps_override 1
You need to do the same thing as ground strafing but, when u scroll up or down depending on your bind.
You need to scroll to duck press CTRL and release it right away. (don't forget strafing) Then when you are about to touch the ground you need to scroll again to duck then press CTRL and keep repeating this sequence.
This only works on servers with sv_airaccelerate 100.
The amount of speed you can get is UNLIMITED again.
