Just a simple visual guide to help you choose your best paths between any split-path situation

Hi, this isn't meant to be super polished or anything.

This is just something I did for myself and I figured since I have it why not just chuck it up here.

This guide mainly covers SPLIT PATHS and what you can find down each path, especially if you're targeting something to train specifically or if you want certain items (there are times where you have to choose between some)

This guide does NOT cover OPTIONAL things. We assume you aim to get everything you possibly can, anyway.

Tip:
If anyone is having trouble maximizing their routes and being able to complete it all the way, try doing chapters 7, 6, then 8 in that order. You may have better grinds but it's helping for me at least.

Set [Sail North] to Top, [Sail West] to High and [Sail East] to Regular.

Also, I noted [Catching Seals] kills you really easily if you don't have enough base Health. If that is your bottleneck in Chapter 8, set [Catching Seals] to OFF and [Explore Mudbank] to OFF and [Cook Seals] to MAX. Once you get there, queue [Catching Seals] ONCE and [Explore Mudbank] right after. This will give you enough backup food to get past the walrus but not leave your health so low that the walrus kills you straight off. Once your base health is about 6 million, it's a bit more comfortable. Of course, this is just a ballpark since there's a lot of things that affect this, like permanent hourglass buffs.

They unlock in the order of west, north, east, volcano. requiring the completion of the previous island to unlock the next for future generations.

How do I unlock the Sail north and Sail east options at the end of Chapter 5. It says the smoke is too thick and its limited by my instincts.

you will gain twice the max health you would after you die in that generation

It might also be important to note that you need to do the alternate path in ch3 (cart) to get everything in ch5.
(The bar and then the orphanage give a total of 25 coins without a chance to spend them, meaning you waste 5, leading you to not be able to buy all items afterwards.)

Finishing the "branching path" in Chapter 5 is required to get everything by that point in the game, and at least early on it can be hard to fully explore it.

there's no mention of chapter 4 and 5 because they don't split, the branching paths they do have don't actually branch and they don't prevent you from completing anything else
