Nemesis: Second Contact

Descripción
This is a fan-made standalone expansion to the beloved Nemesis game designed by Adam Kwapiński and published by Awakened Realms. Please note that this was made purely for fun and I do not seek any monetary gain from doing this. Also note that this project was not endorsed by Awakened Realms and does not represent any of their products. It's just a fun little mod for TTS made by a fan of Nemesis for other fans to enjoy.

Nemesis: Second Contact takes place over a century after the original game, had the Nemesis Ship been sent to Deep Space. You and your crew of explorers have been commissioned by a mysterious benefactor to accompany her on a mission to find the Nemesis wreckage, and recover samples and data logs. During your travels to the ship, an unforeseen catastrophe has erased your Shuttle's flight coordinates map and damaged its engines. Luckily, your Benefactor knows of a maintenance station and navigation room on the Nemesis to assist with repairs and mapping a flight path back to Earth. After setting up a rudimentary electrical system, you and the crew decide to set out to complete your contract and find the components needed to make it back home safely. Meanwhile... amidst the quiet derelict halls of the fractured Nemesis Ship, its dormant residents begin to stir...


Features:

• A combination of game mechanics from all three Nemesis games (original, Aftermath, Lockdown).
• Uses a heavily modified, albeit similar version of the original game's survival objective.
• Features from the Lockdown expansion are included such as the Power system, Knowledge and the Computer Action deck.
• An entirely different board layout that divides the Nemesis Ship into 4 fractured sections that you can travel between.
• Unlimited Malfunction marker components but with a twist: you can destroy entire Sections of the ship individually!
• A Shuttle mini-board similar to the Aftermath expansion's Research Mode, but with the added ability to steer it to traverse between the four Sections of the fractured Nemesis Ship.
• 6 brand new homemade characters with lots of unique abilities.
• New Oxygen mechanic that players will have to manage when traversing the remnants of the Nemesis.
• New Loose Wire markers that replaces Fire (no oxygen means no fire!), providing a new electrical hazard in Sections with Power.
• The Intruder aliens return with even more deadly abilities that will not only rip your face off, but wreak havoc across the remnants of the Nemesis!
• A mix blend of Rooms from the original game and the Lockdown expansion, as well as a few brand new Rooms to explore.
• A combination of the original game and Lockdown's items are included in the Item Decks, as well as some custom-made ones.
• An Item Draft that occurs after players draft their characters where every player will have a chance to pick one of the powerful Purple items at the start of the game.
• New objective cards.



All components owned by Awakened Realms are taken and modified from Kensuaga's (Coded Cardboard) officially supported Nemesis mod

Love the shuttle being used in an out, feels cosy while the rest of the board is very hostile in contrast. Loads of fun.
Would you give me permission to add this board to the mod I'm working on ?

It was a Nemesis Lockdown alternative board mod, but I recently added the Lockdown board and the two Nemesis Ship boards. The reasoning is to play on the boards I like but with the added scripts for personal quality of life, sounds and AI generated pictures for a bunch of fanmade characters.

I would love to bring this Project on the real table, have experience with fan-made expansions and production of very small prototype versions, like I did for Starwars Rebellion. Would be happy to get in contact with the author to talk about that :)

Out of curiosity, do you have templates for making custom characters?

I went ahead and have been working on my own for Nemesis Lockdown for some guys I play with, and while i'm not going to discredit my own work I can recognize when someone else has done a lot better job at making their cards look a lot more "official" than mine.

I mean, it half-works for unexplored rooms only, if you flip them over manually, but noise tokens are not placed automatically.

FYI, the autoexploration tool doesn't work in Hotseat mode, even with turns enabled; not sure if there's anything you can do about it, as I know some lua functions don't work as expected in hotseat.
