alright the optimization is pure garbage but here's how you can make the game somewhat playable:

1) if you have an nvidia gpu go to control panel and in global settings set your shader cache size to unlimited (if you have an amd gpu then lmao)

2) the only graphic settings that matter are ssao, volumetric quality, reflections and grass quality, turn them off completely, other options don't impact the fps nearly as much, you can set them to max and will barely notice a change in framerate

3) for some cursed reason the game works a lot better in borderless rather than fullscreen, also borderless gives you much larger pool of resolutions than fullscreen, you can select 4k in borderless even if your monitor is only 1080p, if you still have low or inconsistent fps then lower your resolution

4) disable any and all overlays that you might have, they tanks your fps

4.5) i randomlly noticed that having shadowplay on increases stutters by a lot, turn instant replay off and you'll see

5) wait for the incompetent morons to fix their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

As all modern games should. Microsoft DirectX has made borderless windowed the default and most performant method of rendering games. Read up on the DXGI flip model.

I have an RTX 3080 ti and have zero problems with the game
when I uncap the framerate I get 180-200 fps
so I'm guessing the game's optimization has improved quite a bit

I don't even see an option for borderless mode, and also how are some of you running it at 120? It autolocks to 60fps for me even though I have a 144hz monitor and a 3060ti lmao

weird, I have a 2070 and other than stuttering when I enter a new zone the game runs great for me, granted I always set the games I actually play on high priority and tweak their settings in the control panel

i have a 2070 graphics card and it runs like shit. the stuttering is un bearable and the frame drops are insane wtf fix your game.
