I worked on mods for this game from release in 2006, for ten years. In the latter years most mods were for 'private' use, and not published. This is a guide to the map & truck mods I created & published elsewhere, and links for downloads.

USA3 Map by glenn52

My USA3 map is an enhanced version of the original game map for Haulin.
A project since Sept 2006, it currently includes a sh1tload of fixes and extras.
MEXICO destinations added.
This is a complete pack with installation instructions.
Last update 25Dec11.

**** Installation ****
Obsolete:[Run the USA3 Map Update.exe file to install all files to your My Documents\18 WoS Haulin\ folder.]
Copy the USA3_Map_25Dec11.scs file to your mod folder.
This version does not have economy options. Delete all of MY previous files from your mod folder before using this map.
Delete all mods from your mod folder if this map does not function properly.
You may or may not need to start a new game for this version.
Read ALL the documents in the pack before using the map.

You can edit game files to transfer your finances and ratings to this map.

I found this file recently, it had been missing for some years!

The original 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin' Peterbilt 351 has been modified..

Features:
Lengthened frame
Peterbilt 357 Sleeper cab
Peterbilt 357 dual headlamps
Peterbilt 357 modified exhaust stacks
Long range fuel tanks
Bull bar

This is a stand-alone truck, however it shares files with the original Pete 351.






**** Installation ****
Extract the 'glenn52 Pete 351 Cruiser.scs' file to your My Documents\18 WoS Haulin\mod folder.
The download includes a truck_storage.sii file adding this truck to the original game trucks.

Got your own truck_storage.sii file?? Add - @include "definition/g351.sii"

Haulin - Map Editor Guide

When you want to modify the game map, or create your very own...

This guide was first written for Haulin v1.06. I have used this guide to create maps in SCS truck games - Haulin, ALH, Bus Driver, ETS & UKTS. It worked for me. That is the only guarantee I give. In 2009, editor tools were changed and the guide became no longer relevant.

Rytor1776, create your own trailer mods, then you can create a guide for that :-)

I just wanted people to know if they didn't like the trailers turning into 3 axles instead of 2 by default with certain trailers my comment would of told them how to change them.

Rytor1776 - I deleted your other comment. The idea of workshop mod comments is not to create any sort of mod guide. I suggest you follow the correct process for that, see https://steamcommunity.com/app/514180/guides . People may come asking questions related to your 'guide', and I'm not answering them. And you won't be around to do it either.

I can't help with a link. I've uploaded it twice here already. The site shows the file is available. I use the link & it works, then when someone reports it does not work, it does not work for me either, and when I go to the site it is not stored on my account - gone!
