Getting Started
We will start by downloading BetterJoy: https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoy/releases/

BetterJoy is a program that basically tricks your pc into thinking that you plugged in a Xbox360 controller instead of a Pro Controller/Joy-Con.

On the page, download the zip. In my case, it is BetterJoy_v7.1.zip

Getting BetterJoy ready
After the zip has downloaded, extract it to a folder.

WARNING: Before running the .exe, download the drivers in the Drivers folder

After you downloaded the drivers, run the .exe . If the program looks like this, then it saw your Pro Controller/Joy-Con (I use a Pro Controller) and you can minimize the program (To completely close it you can just use Task Manager) and you can now run Configure.

Finishing up
Before running Configure, set your controller settings to default. You really don't want to experience what would happen if you don't.

To do that, firstly right click Sonic Generations and go to properties

And then go to Controller and enable "Use default Settings"

Now you can run Configure
Select the Xbox360 controller that you can actually use the Pro Controller to map buttons.

NOTE: If ZR/ZL remain Undefined after you tried to map them, don't worry, you mapped them too.

That's all! Now once you run Sonic Generations, you can use your Pro Controller/Joy-Cons.
You can even use this guide for other games that only support Xbox360 controllers!
