How to request a refund on Steam

Steam Refund Policy

You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.

The Steam refund offer, within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime, applies to games and software applications on the Steam store.

In case of pre-orders, you can request the refund within 2 weeks of the release of the title.

How to request a refund?

First you click the game in your library, then click the "Support" button;




Then you select which issue you're having;




Then you press the "I'd like to request a refund" button;




Then you select your reason and fill the additional notes and press "Submit request"

What now?

You will get an email telling you that your refund request has been received and you'll soon enough (anywhere from 15 minutes to day or two) get an email telling you if your refund request was accepted or not.
If you chose to get refund to your wallet, it'll be pending for 24 hours and then you can use the balance.

I preordered Elden ring in december, didn't have any issues getting a refund.
