Just use Orange Mapshot plugin was around when you did this and takes shots without issues. No weird zooming which doesn't even work for bigger maps.

If you mean that you couldn't take a screenshot of the whole scenario in-game, you could try upscaling your game's resolution or using a zoom in/out plugin
