I shall make one to pick up potions then

Weapon in hand, I, a normally very passive, timid person, was overwhelmed with feelings of power and greatness. "This must be the beginning of something great" i thought. I hastily returned to the text for guidance and, with its aid, whacked every remaining enemy in the tunnels using number 7's information. "Behold!" i shouted, once i reached the river "my might is endless! I shall don this sword with great repose and responsibility! Every foe in my wake shall meet their end by this blade and no more shall i cower when I'm lost at step 6 of "How to pick up and use a sword"."
Alas, i crossed the river and fought through the neighboring dungeon, dying only due to the lack of a guide titled "How to pick up and drink a potion." Author, i implore you to make more guides on how to pick up and use items, so that others may not meet the same plight as I.

And yet, woe onto me, i found that even with the sword equipped i have not yet met even the beginning of its use. "How could this be?!" i screeched through the Imperial City Prison tunnels. "How could i figure out the previous step, yet still not wield my weapon of choice?!" i bemused. And so, forced once again by my own incompetence, i returned to your guide to step 6.

Having step 1 out of the way, i proceeded to step 2, at which point i acquired the sword, but had no way of using it as an article or armament. Hence, i was forced to return to the guide and move to step 3: opening the inventory. Once done, i was befuddled at the bulky, yet beautiful UI, which lacked any guidance or explanation to use. Demoralized once more, i retreated to he steam page to retrieve this guide once more, at which point i moved to point 4: opening the weapons/sword tab. Once there, i perceived the lackluster number of armaments in my possession, moving to what i later realized was step 5 without using the guide.

you know, I'm fairly new to the elder scrolls series, having only started when skyrim came out. Then i tried online and was very disappointed. I thought "maybe newer Bethesda games just arent as good as the old ones?" So i set on a quest to try out oblivion.
Having acquired a sword during the first dungeon, i was confused: it lay there on the floor, begging for something in an incorporeal language i did not understand. At that point, i came across this detailed guide to use, which should have been printed on the swords hilt in the first place.
