Данное руководство создано с целью распространения последней удачной версии модификации Brutal Wolfenstein среди поклонников оригинальной игры, а также новых пользователей, решивших ознакомиться с классикой в современной интерпретации.

This guide is made with goal to spread the last succeded version of Brutal Wolfenstein among fans of the original game and also new players who want to familiarize classics with updated features.

В этом руководстве я хотел бы рассказать про наличие модификации Brutal Wolfenstein для Wolfenstein 3D и распространить наиболее удачную конфигурацию, позволяющую обычному пользователю без затруднений погрузиться в красочное приключение по истреблению нацистов.

In this guide, I would like to talk about the presence of the Brutal Wolfenstein mod for Wolfenstein 3D and distribute the most successful configuration that allows the average user to easily immerse themselves in a colorful adventure to exterminate the Nazis.

Замечание

Почему сборка была обновлена?
Были исправлены критичные баги в новых изданиях модификации, а также возвращены секретные уровни.
В изначальную сборку также был добавлен Brutal Spear of Destiny.

Способ установки:

1. Скачать оригинальный Wolf 3D в Steam
   
   
2. Нажать на название игры правой кнопкой мыши, нажать на "Свойства"
   
   
3. Перейти в Локальные файлы и нажать "Обзор"
   
   
4. Вы попадете в папку с игрой. Удалите папку base и DOSbox.
   
   
5. Перейдите по ссылке и скачайте архив:
   Brutal Wolfenstein[drive.google.com]
   
   
6. Открыв архив, вы увидите новую папку Dosbox. Перенесите её из архива в папку с игрой.
   
   
7. Вернитесь в окошко свойства Steam. Выберите общие. И в параметрах запуска введите следующую команду:
   .\dosbox\launcher.exe -conf -fullscreen -file BW.pk3 wolfTex.pk3 exit
   
   
8. При запуске игры в окошке выберите Vulkan и нажмите Play Game!
   
   
9. При запуске игры перейдите в BW Sub-Menu и настройте параметры крови и расчленёнки, а также проаспкейлите изображение через Display Options>OpenGL renderer>Texture Options.
   Там вы встретите параметр High Quality Resize Mode. Лучшее изображение будет при выборе XBRZ.
   Далее измените параметр High Quality Resize Multiplier на 6x.

Поздравляю! Игра успешно установлена.

Note

Why the assembly has been updated?
The critical bugs were fixed into the new version of modification, thus secret levels have been brought back.
Brutal Spear of Destiny was also added to the initial assembly.

How to install:

1. Download original Wolf 3D in Steam
   
   
2. Click on the name of the game with the right mouse button, click on "Properties"
   
   
3. Go to Local Files and click "Browse"
   
   
4. You will be taken to the game folder. Delete the base and DOSbox folders.
   
   
5. Go the link and download the archive:
   Brutal Wolfenstein[drive.google.com]
   
   
6. After opening the archive, you will see a new Dosbox folder. Move it from the archive to the folder with the game.
   
   
7. Go back to the Steam properties window. Select General. And in the launch options, enter the following command:
   .\dosbox\launcher.exe -conf -fullscreen -file BW.pk3 wolfTex.pk3 exit
   
   
8. When starting the game, select Vulkan in the window and click Play Game!
   
   
9. When developing a game in the BW submenu and adjusting the gore and dismemberment options, and upscale the image via Display Options > OpenGL Renderer > Texture Options.
   There you will find the High Quality Resize Mode option. The best image will be when choosing XBRZ.
   Further change the Parameter High Quality Resize Multiplier to 6x.

Congratulations! The game has been successfully installed.

Brutal Lost Episodes [RUS]

Многие не знают, но существовали дополнительные эпизоды для оригинальной Spear of Destiny, которые тем не менее не были перенесены на полноценную Brutal-версию (на момент написания раздела), однако я нашёл оптимальный вариант их запуска.

Способ установки:

1. Удалите папку DOSbox.
   
   
2. Перейдите по ссылке и скачайте архив:
   Brutal Lost Episodes[drive.google.com]
   
   
3. Открыв архив, увидите новую папку DOSbox. Перенесите её из архива в папку с игрой.
   
   
4. После этого в свойствах пропишите команду:
   .\dosbox\launcher.exe -conf -fullscreen -file BWSODMPKS.wad BwketchupV5.pk3 exit

Brutal Lost Episodes [ENG]

Many do not know, but there were additional episodes for the original Spear of Destiny, which nevertheless were not transferred to the full-fledged Brutal version (at the time of this writing), but I found the best way to launch them.

Installation method:

1. Delete the DOSbox folder.
   
   
2. Follow the link and download the archive:
   Brutal Lost Episodes[drive.google.com]
   
   
3. Having opened the archive, you will see a new DOSbox folder. Move it from the archive to the folder with the game.
   
   
4. After that, in the properties, write the command:
   .\dosbox\launcher.exe -conf -fullscreen -file BWSODMPKS.wad BwketchupV5.pk3 exit

Voodoo я скачал этот архив и в нем не было вирусов, поэтому че врешь?

Защитник Windows может реагировать на нелицензионное ПО, поскольку Microsoft выступает против пиратства. А банальный exe файл типа GZDoom не является зарегистрированной программой, распространяемой той же Microsoft.
Я не имел в виду, что вы такой же "злостный комментатор", как тот, о ком я высказался. Я выразил сугубо своё отрицательное отношение к тому персонажу, если возникло недопонимание, то прошу прощения за неточность формулировки.
