3-Tene - A free motion capturing software developed by PlusPlus Co.

8 - A bunch of "8"s are a Japanese onomatopoeia for applauding, which is a "pachi pachi pachi" sound.

A.I. - Short for "Artificial Intelligence", mainly pretaining to very few VTubers that are bots, like Kizuna AI.

Aka Supa Cha - It's a shorten Japanese term for "Red Super Chat." Also known as "AkaSupa".

Babiniki - A Japanese term to describe VTubers using a cute anime girl avatar. It's shorten term for "Virtual Bishojo Juniku".

Babiniku Oji-San - Another Japanese term referring to VTubers that uses male avatars.

Bakage - It means "silly game", these are nonsensical games played in the stream.

Batsu Game(s) - It means "punishment game" and its a complete opposite of the babiniki, its when a Vtuber, who lost takes upon a very unpleasant challenge.

Belok - An Indonesian word that means turn, though it's mainly refer to a "cheater." This is jokingly use for those that watches a zillion streams at once.

Bilibili - A nickname for B Site, a Chinese Youtube rival site.

Blender - An open source, Jack of All Trades, free software made by Ton Roosendaal and the Blender Foundation

Boing Boing - A term for used for those with large breasts.

Bottom Left - It's a system to rank VTubers based on purity and intelligence, this has been coined by Kiara Takanashi.

Cover Corporation - The Japanese tech company that owns "Hololive". (Aka "Cover Corp")

Desk-Kun - This term is when a VTuber starts hitting his/her/xir's desk when angry/frustrated, depending on how hard the banging will result with the chat deducting health points (i.e. "Desk-Kun -90.")

Egosa - It's short for "ego searching"/"ego surfing", its when the Vtuber(s) in question is looking up stuff about themselves, like searching their name on the internet and fanworks.

EN - VTuber - A word short for "English VTuber."

EN Curse - This refers to both the Hololive EN and English speaking VTubers to experience technical issues, especially during their debuts.

Fan Mark - An emoji as a "mark" used by VTubers and their fans to show which VTuber that they support, this trend began by Nijisanji when Chihiro debut in February 2018. It's also called an "Oshi Mark."

Feet Reveal - It's similar to face reveals, when a YTer shows what look like after their first subscriber milestone. Instead of showing the face, it's with the vtuber avatar's feet and legs, this trend began with Torte Kamakyara tweeting "I want to see the shoes of."

Free Chat - It's a chat room that leaves fans to start conversations with each other. This is use to keep the chat room up, until the actual stream begins.

Gachi-Koi - In idol fandom, this phrase is used to describe a fan that "falls in love" over his/her idol and will do things, like defending said idol.

Graduations - It's merely when a Vtuber/Vtubing group retires or quits for whatever reason, leaving mostly on good terms. Calling this a 'graduation' originated from a JPop scene when the super popular 1980s band, Onyanko Club, disbanded. Aka "Retirement". This post goes into great details about "graduating"

Gremlin - This term is to describe VTuber(s) that revels in chaos and mischief (and with a dab of cringe thrown in). Just like the fantasy gremlin.

Guerilla - Streams that aren't scheduled in advance, this leads the fans to not knowing about the stream, until last minute.

GWS - An acronym for "Get Well Soon."

Horage - It just means "Horror games."

Halu - A short for "Hallusinasi", an Indonesian word, mainly to describe someone with insane, out of this world beliefs, like being the grandma's cousin's uncle's thrice remove niece to the talent's janitor.

IKZ - Shorten word for, ikuzo, the Japanese word for "Let's go."

Ikebo - Short for "Ikemen voice", meaning "a handsome guy's voice." This term is used to describe VTubers (mainly females) speaking in a deep "handsome" male voice.

JP Bros - A Western fans term to refer to the Japanese fans.

Kaigai Niki - This term is mostly used by Japanese VTubers to refer to non-Japanese fans and viewers. Also known as "Overseas Bros."

Kusa - A Japanese word meaning "LOL" or "LMAO." Also known as "Grass".

Kusoge - A Japanese slang word meaning "A very bad game."

Leap Motion - A pricy motion capture device that catches the hands and arms.

Live2D - This is a software that's made by Tetsuya Nakajo for creating 2D models, as well as animating them. The word is also used to refer to VTubers that uses 2D models.

Liver - It's a shorten term for live-streamer/streamer.

MMD - A shorten term for "MikuMikuDance", they are 3D animated models that can copy a person's movements on screen.

MyHolo TV - A Malaysian VTuber agency, their ambitious goal is to connect internationally.

Teetee - It's a Japanese slang word, kinda** meaning "Noble", "exalted", or "Valuable". Usually to describe just how "wholesome" and "precious" a VTuber is. It also means a VTuber that has great chemistry with a fellow VTuber. Also known as "Seiso".

Mama/Papa - A term that a VTuber uses to refer to their avatar's character designers and Live2D Riggers mainly.

Modeling - It's the computer programming process of making a character or object.

OBS - An open source software that's captures video footage and streams, not to be confused for Streamlabs OBS.

Oshi - It merely means an Idol that you support.

Otsu- - It's a farewell greeting that Vtubers uses, most of them have their own variations of this. The term is short for "Otsukaresama.
P - Z
Pettanko - A term for those with smaller breasts. (aka "Flat Chested" or "Board.")

SIMP - An acronym that means "Sucker Idolizing Mediocre ♥♥♥♥♥." Now the term has been diluted to mean a "A dude that's too nice towards a girl."

Shrimp - It's another term, meaning SIMP, due to Twitch attempting to ban the actual word and what Gawr Gura's big donators are called. (I dunno if Twitch was successful with the banning, all I remember was that there was this backlash against said ban).

Taiki - Japanese for "Stand-by."

Totsu Machi - Japanese for "Call-in." These are skits in streams were the VTuber waits for callers, mainly other Vtubers, to have unscripted conversations.

Tsukudani Norio Projuction - This VTuber agency was created by Tsukudani Norio, a mangaka. (aka "NoriPro")

Tsunderia - A LA, California VTuber agency.

Univirtual - Term invented by Miya Kimino, it's basically a judgement free indie Vtuber community, where they can interact, team up, and especially if they want to find/promote each other on Twitter. To join the group, just use the hashtag and say that ya wanna join.

Utawaku - Japanese for "Live singing."

Virtual ESports Project - This ambitious project that has several eSports teams under their umbrella, like: Lupinus Virtual Games (IBG), Cattleya Regina Games (CRG) and tons of solo members.

VRoid - A 3D avatar making software that's made by Pixiv.

VShojo - A USA based VTubing talent agency founded by Justin "theGunrun" Ignacio and Phillip "Mowtendoo" Fortunat.

VTuber Uprising - This term was invented by Crooked Smile_0/rtnugent as a joke and an experiment, but it hijacked by indie Vtubers to promote themselves, collab with each other, and promote positivity.

VTweeter - This term is refer to internet bullies that lie about being part of the VTubing community and are hyper-political. They are also called "Twitter VTuber" (See "The VTweeters" chapter in the appendix for more details).

WACTOR - This talent agency was formed by WACTOR Projection on March 2019, by Mirais and Hizuki Miu.

WKTK - It's an acronym and a Japanese onomatopoeia for "being excited" or "trembling with excitement."

Zatsudan - A Japanese word that means "Free talk." Usually referring when a streamer just chats idly with randomize topics.

Zenloss - A Japanese word meaning "Total Loss." It's a combination of the words "Zenbu" and "Loss." This term is mainly used when VTubers losing stuff after farming, the phrase is usually found in Minecraft streams.


* Kizuna is now called "Boss"/"Oyabun", since she's above the FHK category.
** Concerning "TeeTee", there's no English translation to describe this emotional expression, there's only approximate examples.
