Rule 1 - Day Cycle
Before starting about tips to survival let's look at the Day-Night Cycle Developer shared before;

So in game 24 hour = 1 hour. It's all works like this some of the other players split the an hour like this

10 minutes sunrise
30 minutes of day time
10 minutes dust time
5 minutes pitch darkness
5 minutes night time

So far it checks out right in game. So until developer decides to change it. This will be our clock.

Rule 2 - Looting
What I like about this game is it's looting style. I mean like in other games such as Escape From Tarkov you can store 2-3 more backpacks or crates in your bigger backpack. As long as you maintain the weight of it.

Rule 3 - Finding a Safe House
If you are playing in singleplayer it's up to you to where you wanna build as long as you reinforce with doors and window barricades.

But in multiplayer things gets changed.

So As much as I know we can't build our own homes like Minecraft or Unturned. So we will have to occupy city buildings, trailers, shop etc. My suggestion would be occupying an apartment cause it will be hard to raid for other people imagine having to destroy door after door, barricade after barricade.
Rule 4 - Hotbars-Quick keys-
There are like 4-7 hotbars in game
1-for your primary ,
2-for secondary items
3-I usually prefer for medical supplies
4-is either for food or water or energy
Tip 1 - Refreshing
Most of the items in game despawns after day cycle so make sure you don't leave your items in ground.

While I'd love to assist you, the developer's unnecessary changes to the game have made it difficult for me to provide accurate information. :DSTpoop: I haven't played since the updates and am not familiar with the new mechanics. :listen: However, I can recommend checking the official game forums or subreddit, :peace_hoi: as there might be other players who have encountered similar issues and found solutions. :bc_donut::coffee:

@CPTMikeyy Alright mate Developer (?) of the game aka Kamron suggested this

"I’d have them make sure they have access to the folder the game is trying to save to (c:\Users\user\AppData\Local\DeadPoly\Saved)

Also ensure they’re waiting for the save to finish. It does take a bit, especially on less powerful machines."
Hope this can help your problem

I haven't encountered a problem like that or seen anyone having it in the discussion tab but I sent a mail about your problem mate.

Flagpole or base claim flag will help your current zone to despawn and reload most of the loot. Also with base claim flag you can build and craft more thing (few so far) without having it. Other than that I don't see any reason to use it.

in Singleplayer it seems items I drop as well as items I "set down" neither despawn and all items, such as furniture, that is placed and used as storage doesn't respawn or reload loot. Is this true or am I missing something. Simpler question: is there any real reason to use a base claim flag in singleplayer?
