what you will need

the thigns you will need are really important because without then you can't do it

1. A keyboard
   
2. Garry's Mod installed
   
3. Ability to read text

how to do it

to do the cool zoom you will need to find a button on the keyboard you want to bind the cool zoom to.
in this example i will use the button C because it's used in a minecraft optifine mod to zoom and this tutorial is how to zoom like in the mod but without mods.

1. Launch Garry's Mod
   
2. Open a console with the button ~
   If it doesn't work for some reason when you're in main menu, press Shift+~
   
3. Write in the terminal thingy "bind C +zoom"

So what exactly does that mean

• "bind" - command that links the key with action
  
• "C" - the button you want to use for zooming (in example its C becaus'e thats how it is in the minecraft optifine mod)
  
• "+zoom" - the action name that is used to do the zoom

it doesn't look exactly like minecraft optifine mod but it's not a mod so you just need to deal with this ugly looking crosshair thing unfortunately

its easy just hold c and go to drawings and turn off hud if it has no check mark that means its off for the crosshair and its the zoom vision so yeah
