And that's solid advice. I like to dabble in pixel art, but I'm not an artist and I don't know enough about modding to actually put sprite replacements into the game.
I highly encourage you making your own stuff if you're really interested in that sort of stuff, its really easy to animate stuff like this, any QC issues I have regarding my stuff can easily be solved with another couple hours. I just try to keep myself inline with a specific amount of quality to time investment ratio, what I have is just as little as I'm willing to put in and get as max value out of it possible, but if you're willing to spend the extra time I'm sure you can get something good out of it.
Any form of creative output with your time is time well invested in my opinion.
