how to dupe items in terraria

ok so what you wanna do is load into a world then hold the item you want to dupe then delete terraria because you keep trying to cheat.

I just came here to see if there was a new method discovered, since I haven't played in three months, but actually there is one old method of mass duping that still hasn't been patched since nearly right after the game was publicly released. It involves closing and opening the game multiple times, but I won't go into detail, so that no one here tries to use it to cheat.
