How to Permanently remove Left 4 Dead 2 game from your Steam account

Hey there, you're trying to remove this game permanently from your system and steam because you want to make room for your cool new game back 4 blood, this is the new old game!
This short guide will give you life experience in deleting your Left 4 Dead 2 copy from your system and steam account (this way you will have to buy it again, and get that 'wow, finally got it' feel), this also works for other good games that you like but, grew a bit tired and want to buy them again in the future (with minor tweaking here and there).

1. The classic

In your Steam Library, find Left 4 Dead 2 game, right click on it, and hover over Manage, then click on Uninstall.

2. Gonna browse for some folders now

Do go through the same motions you did when uninstalling, this time choose 'Browse local files'

3. Now you are in the main L4D2 folder, retreat from this place

Go to 'common folder' by clicking on 'common folder'

4. Left 4 Dead 2 - remove it

Find Left 4 Dead 2 folder, remove (delete) it

5. userdata removal

In your main steam folder, find folder 'userdata', inside find your user id folder, and in that folder find folder '550' - delete it.


If you're having trouble finding your userid, it is displayed in your trade link that you can get in inventory tab>Trade offers>who can send me..>scroll down for your userid (bunch of numbers in the trade link), this is the folder you are looking for in userdata to get to the folder '550'.
