A comprehensive guide to making sprocket look gorgeous using Reshade!

In this guide I will show you how to install reshade for sprocket,
how to use it,
and how to install my preset.
If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask in the comments!

Introduction

Reshade is a programm that allows you to alter the look of almost any game
in our case we are gonna use it to get rid of some of sprockets annoying graphic effects to create a more refined and clear experience without impacting performance too much.

Installing Reshade

Alright strap in it's easy to do but also easy to get lost

Head to https://reshade.me and click on download.


Then download the newest version of reshade.


After the download is finished simply open the setup and then click on the top option.


Now scroll in the list until you find Sprocket.exe and double click it
(if you can't find sprocket.exe in the list just click on browse and manually select sprocket.exe from it's file location)


































The programm will now ask you for the rendering API,
simply select Direct3D 10/11/12


Now you will have to select wich effect packages you want to install,
these are basically options for the reshade you will be able to access.

I highly recommend selecting all of them, the packages are small in file size and this way you will have everything you need if you want to create your own reshade. It will also guarantee that the preset I provide works.

When you have selected all of them click ok


Now the packages will install,
the programm will ask for every package you install wich options exactly you want,
simply keep clicking ok until you get this popup again:

If there is a small message reading:
Reshade Setup was successful! you have succesfully installed it and you can now close the setup.

Using Reshade

Great you installed some kind of software into your game but what now? well...

Launch your game
[duh]

If you have succesfully downloaded reshade you should see this message on your screen:


Now you can press your Pos1 / home key (or whatever key it tells you to press)
to open reshade.


There is a small inbuild tutorial when you first open reshade and I recommend taking a look.
However all you need to know for now is that all these options are basically the effects you installed

You can activate and tweak them to change the look of the game to your liking,
to close the menu press the same key you used to open it.
Don't worry all changes are saved automatically!

All your reshade settings are saved in your main gamefiles as ReShadePreset.ini

you can send others this file to share your Reshade settings, just make sure the one receiving it has installed all of the activated effects aswell!

Time to finish this up by installing the preset
These are the options I use
the preset gets rid of the overall smushy look, improves the look of the sky and most importantly: sharpens and improves the coloring and look of objects


How to use

Download the preset:

Save the file somewhere you can easily remember

Now enter your game and open the reshade menu and click on ReShadePreset


Now browse for the CrispReshade.ini file you just downloaded
click it and then press select


Now the options should load
and once thats done you can simply close the reshade menu and enjoy your crisp looking sprocket experience! :D

Not trying to induce hate but due the many steps, complicated file selecting, and the suspicion that this could be a virus (chances may be low but not zero), In my opinion this may not be worth it but still would be really cool!
