"Origami Hydrangea Lid Top with a Traditional Masu Box, designed by Shuzo Fujimoto and folded by me from 2 square sheets of Tissue-Foil (Gold and Red), 30 x 30 cm.
Time spent folding: ~2 hours.

It's a reasonable amount of time. What's more, the Hydrangea is modular; this basically means you can apply as many flower circle layers as you want on the lid. There's probably a physical stopgap somewhere but the model already looks good with just 3 of them. The paper is really nice, yeah. It's super strong and very thin. You can buy it at origami-shop dot com.

Wow! That must take an aweful amount of patience! Tissue foil sounds really delicate. Then to be at it for two hours? Amazing.
