Stardew Valley usefull mods

I've been playing Stardew Valley since 2017 and here is a guide with mods which i most used in my journey

SMAPI

SMAPI is the mod loader of Stardew Valley, it's very easy to install and safe to use. You can continue playing with your normal game with SMAPI installed and doesn't disable Steam achiviements and multiplayer will be working normally

You need be sure your game is running through Steam check out the next instructions

How to install SMAPI

1.Run your game at least once
2.Download SMAPI here[smapi.io]
3.Extract the .zip file
4.Double-click on Install on (Your OS) then follow the instructions

At this point after install you'll see a "Mods" folder which will be used to paste your mods folders

Modpack

Automate

Place a chest next to a machine (like a furnace or crystalarium), and the machine will automatically pull raw items from the chest and push processed items into it. Connect multiple machines with a chest to link them.

Better Ranching

Prevents failing milking/shearing attempts and adds an indicator when pets and animals can be petted, milked, or sheared.

Content Patcher

Content Patcher loads content packs that change the game's data, images, and maps without replacing XNB files. Content packs can make changes dynamically based on many in-game details like location, weather, date, festivals or events, spouse, relationships, whether you have a Joja membership, etc.

This mod doesn't do anything on its own; you need to install content packs separately.

Adds experience bars for your skill levels, so you can see how far you are from leveling.

Generic Mod Config Menu

Generic Mod Config Menu adds an in-game UI to edit other mods config options. This only works for mods designed to support it.

Gift Taste Helper

This mod displays a helpful tooltip that shows an NPC's favourite gifts when hovering over their birthday on the calendar. This works with both the calendar furniture item that you can have in your house, as well as the calendar on the billboard in town.

Harvest with scythe

Allows you to harvest all crops (including seasonal crops) and forage using the scythe. They can also still be plucked.

Lookup Anything

See live info about whatever's under your cursor when you press F1. Learn a villager's favourite gifts, when a crop will be ready to harvest, how long a fence will last, why your farm animals are unhappy, and more (see showcase). Can any of these mods disable steam achievements?

Any of these mods can't disable steam achievements if you be running your game through steam

Is compartible with multiplayer?

These mods are totally compatible with multiplayer, in my experience i hadn't any problem and my partner wasn't using the same mods as me ( to prevent problems say to your partners install them )

Where's the mods folder?

After install SMAPI go to your library right-click on Stardew Valley>manage>Browse local files



Then you'll see this window and there it is



Now just paste your mods folder to there

Confirmed, you need a cask mod in order to use automate outside of the cellar.

Hi Snumpler, i don't know if that's possible because i don't go to quarry in my game and i'm using the original images from the mods creators then i believe that can works

Danillozx, thanks for the list; was considering playing with mods and this was super helpful. One question I have was regarding Automate, does that automatically allow casks to be placed everywhere or did you have a preinstalled mod for that? I noticed that in your example you had casks in the quarry.
