Interpose - Custom Steam Installation

In this Guide, I will show you how to install Interpose in the same folder as Stargunner on Steam, Demo, Registered & Christmas Shareware Versions

1-1. Custom Installation: Registered CD-ROM Version

NOTICE: You need to have the Interpose CD-ROM to Install & Play the Game!

This Section will teach you on how to install Interpose Registered in your Stargunner Folder.

1. Insert the Interpose CD-ROM into the Computer

2. Open your Stargun DOSBOX Config File & Change the Following:
[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.

cputype=auto
cycles=auto or max
cycleup=10
cycledown=20

[dos]
xms=false
ems=false
umb=true
keyboardlayout=auto

Mount C ".."

3. Open DosBox and enter the following:
Mount D D:\ -T CDROM
Mount C C:\DOS
D:
INSTALL

4. Select English, Install Interpose Christmas to the Following Directory: C:\CDROM\INTERPOS
NOTE: The Installer's Default Destination is C:\TZS\INTERPOS

5. Select Yes on the First Screen and Select No for CD Audio to finish the Installation.

6a. Enter SETSOUND to set up the Sound Card before playing, it should Auto Detect SB16 and HIGH or VERY HIGH Quality.
6b. Once the Sound & Music are set up, enter INTERPOS to Start.

7. Have Fun.

8. If you want to switch back to Stargunner, change the Following in your STARGUN DosBox Config File:

1-2. Custom Installation: Christmas Version

This Section will teach you on how to install Interpose Christmas Greetings in your Stargunner Folder.

1. Visit the Internet Archive Website & search for Interpose Christmas Greetings. The Christmas Version of Interpose has One Level complete with a Santa Clone Boss Battle at the end.

2. Go to the folder where Stargunner is installed on Steam, and create a new folder called IPXIns.

3. Extract the Ipxmas Installer Files to your IPXIns Folder.

4. Open your Stargun DOSBOX Config File & Change the Following:

cycles=auto or max
cycleup=10

ems=false

5. Open DosBox and enter the following:
Mount C C:\DOS
C:
CD IPXIns
IPXmas

7. Install Interpose Christmas to the Following Directory: C:\XMas\IPXmas
NOTE: The Installer's Default Destination is C:\Games\WebFoot\IPXmas

8. Select English & Yes to finish the Installation.

9a. Enter SETSOUND to set up the Sound Card before playing, it should Auto Detect SB16 and HIGH or VERY HIGH Quality.
9b. Once the Sound & Music are set up, enter IPMAS to Start.

10. Have Fun.

11. If you want to switch back to Stargunner, change the Following in your STARGUN DosBox Config File:

This Section will teach you on how to install Interpose Shareware in your Stargunner Folder, both Small & Large Versions

1. Visit the Internet Archive Website & search for Interpose Tiny Demo & Large Demo.

NOTE: The Large Demo's Installer is NOT Compatible with 64-Bit Operating Systems. You will need to visit the DOS Games Archive to get the Large Demo of Interpose

Before dinosaurs ruled on Earth, the overlynxes lived on the island of Atlantis. They evolved from primitive lynxes into brilliant creatures with technology that was unmatched by any other race in the galaxy quadrant. Their beautiful cities and vast space stations, reflected the wealth and prosperity of the Earth. The overlynxes had learned to live in harmony with the nature and had not polluted their mother planet. In spite of the overlynxes peaceful nature they developed terrible weapons they hoped would never have to be used.

Meanwhile,light-years away, on the planet Denedola the inhabitants were completing an evil and insane experiment. By manipulating DNA, they created a new race of living beings: humans. They found a place for them to infest: the Earth. The first humans were sent to battle, equipped with weapons of mass destruction. Their goal was simple: exterminate the overlynxes.

Only one overlynx has the courage to strike back!

The evil scientist Atnas Sualc has constructed his own Santas and Reindeers. He's on his way to take over Santa's home at the North Pole, and misdirect all the Christmas gifts. Your mission is to stop him before he reaches his goal!

Fusion Warhead = Nuclear Smart Bomb

Energy Waves = 10 Second Energy Protection (W Capsule)
Proton Beam = Beam Cannon
Autofire = 20 Second Rapid Fire (Lowercase A Capsule)
Extra Life = 1UP (X Capsule)
Rear Shot = Rear Ship Cannon (2 Levels = R1/R2 Capsule)
Twin Cannon = Increases Attack (5 Levels = T Capsule)
Turret Drone = Turret Gun (9 Levels = P Capsule)
