Tips and trick to become a good movement player

Intro

Because Crab Game has similar movement to other first person games (FP), mainly First Person Shooter games (FPS) like, CS:GO, VALORANT, etc. there are many ways that players can manipulate the movement in the game to gain advantages over others.

Mechanic Giude (How It Works)

GAIN SPEED
Whenever you run + jump diagonally your character will gain more speed and consequently reach more distant places.

(Shift + Space + W + A).
or
(Shift + Space + W + D)
This allows you to reach places you wouldn’t reach by jumping normally and helps you run faster.

Whenever someone is chasing you, you should use this trick. If your opponent is not aware of this trick, he will never be able to catch you.

INFINITELY SLIDE
Another mechanic that exists in this game is sliding on the ground infinitely by running diagonally and then crouching with all the buttons pressed.

(Shift + W + A + Crouch)
or
(Shift + W + D + Crouch)

COUNTER SLIDE
In this game, as in CSGO, there is a thing called Counter-Strafing.

Basically Counter strafing = stopping instantly.

Example:

You move right with your D key, then you release your D key and quickly tap your A key once and you will stop instantly.
Or
You move forward with your W key, then you release your W key and quickly tap your S key once and you will stop instantly.
Note: This is useful in the game “Red Light, Green Light”.

Ladders

Just like in cs:go, ladders in grab game are faster to climb using A or D, go to a ladder, look up and press A or D to it and you will climb faster than others

-Another great usage of the ladder is the LADDER HOP
This is another technique which is just a bonus. There are 2 ways. The first one is not that oftenly used. For the first you just turn yourself almost same degree, and for the second if you're facing this forward do the following:
Hold Shift + S + Jump

If you're climbing ladders backwards do:
Hold Shift + W + Jump

Water jump (will be fixed soon)

Do you saw “hackers” jumping on water surface? It’s not a hack! It’s a glitch! Abuse this method until it's getting fixed

How-To (Step-by-Step)

STEP 1:

Go to settings.
Choose “Controls” section.














STEP 2:
Now it’s time to change “Jump” button.






Click “Space” and scroll down/up







This will make you to jump on your scroll
wheel depending on your preference (up or down)

Now it's time to learn how to do a water jump

RESULT + TIPS:

NOTE: You must scroll down/up if you’re going to touch a water/lava surface. And this is not going to work on every gamemode/map
NOTE: it's not an easy task to do it, before trying in a public game test it out on a practice game. Don't forget that you will take fall damage and die (or not) depending on your altitude

Crouching

How to be speed with slides 101.

How to do It
So basically I found a way to give yourself a speed boost while crouching

Here is how to do it:

If you are walking into a wall on your left or right while holding sprint and W and then crouch you gain a pretty big speed boost.
Basically use a wall like a ramp

Honorable mentions (for tips that don't need a specific guide)

1)You can go through windows by simply pressing sprint+jump+crouch (works well in Sunny Saloon map)
