Aiming in Final Bossfight
As many of you already know, the final fight with you-know-who is impossible to complete because you can't aim down in order to hit the thing.

A lot of people are saying that Win98 or 95 compatibility mode fixes the aiming issue. It does, but for me that locks the game to about 3 FPS, making it unplayable anyway.

After a lot of fiddling I finally found an option that works for me. This isn't a fix per se, it's a temporary workaround until the game gets patched which will never happen so yeah. Note that I'm running W7 SP1 64 bit, other systems may behave differently.

1) If you're using it, disable DSfix by deleting dxd9.dll. It interferes with alt-tabbing.
2) Disable compatibility mode on both exes. Run in regular mode.
3) Run the game in full screen mode via launcher. When you get to the bossfight, alt-tab out. Wait for the desktop to appear and then switch back to the game.
4) If you did everything correctly, the game should resume and you should be able to aim all the way up and down.

Some people claim that this can be done by running in borderless window mode via DSfix, however this doesn't fix the aiming. It only works if you alt-tab out of fullscreen mode.

Hi Paul, I know your advice is old, but thanks for sharing. I had to give up on doing the boss as my game would not aim for love nor money. Hopefully your suggestions will work this time round. :blackcoffee:
