Hat Simulator

This guide will help you get the "Hat Simulator" achievement for Goat Simulator.

Introduction

The Hat Simulator achievement will require to to buy all 6 hats that are on display at the hat store. You can find the hat store right across the hotel where you can find Deadmau5 playing on the roof. It's a pretty big building, you can't miss it. If only you had money to buy those hats...

This is the harder part of this achievement - finding all the stacks of cash needed to buy those hats. Luckily, that's what this guide is for. These stacks of cash can be found anywhere in Goat Bay City, but they mostly tend to show up inside somebody's house. Seems logical, since no one would leave a small stack of 20's outside while hiking, and if they do, it'll be gone before you realize that you lost it. But I digress...

To get the achievement, you need to bring six stacks of cash to the store, one by one, hand them to the clerk, and, finally, pick out a hat you want to buy from the store display. Simple, if not a bit annoying.

Locations 1 and 2

Right from the spawn point, you will find a small block of houses to your right. Look for the one with a small pool next to it. If you go inside, you will find a table with two stacks of money and some "sugar". Sugar's not important for this achievement, but if you lick it, then go onto a boat near the Deadmau5 hotel, you will get the "Columbian Sugar Lord" achievement.

Locations 3 and 4

If you exit the last house and go down towards the hotel/hat store, you will find... um... some more houses. Look for the one with the garage door open. Enter it, and find the third stack in the dining room on the first floor.





Then, on the second floor, you will find another stack in a small bedroom on a nightstand.

Location 5

You'll find this one in the Deadmau5 hotel. Look behind the reception desk and you will see a stack of Jacksons lying on a desk next to a computer.

Locations 6 and 7

Still in the Deadmau5 hotel, go up the stairs and move to its farthest corner. You should be somewhere right above the reception desk. Two more stacks are lying on the chairs (I already took one of them in the picture).

Location 8

The last stack of money (as far as I know) is in the bar attached to the Deadmau5 hotel. If you exit the hotel and go around, you will eventually find this building. Look on the counter to find the last stack.

Location 9

Right next to the hat store, there'a a convenience store. Inspect the checkout counter to find one more stack.

Locations 10-13

If you exit the hat store and go left and around the block, you will find a nice small restaurant. The cash is lying on the tables in the outside dining area (Thanks, ShadowsVoid!)

Something else?

As you can see, there are way more than 6 stacks of cash lying around Goat City Bay, despite the fact that there are only six hats on display at the store. You can still use the others, though. Go to the store and look at the wall opposite the display window.
That's right, you can also buy sunglasses. You don't have to, they don't count towards the achievement, but still... There are only two types of glasses, so you'll have enough money to buy everything in the whole store if you wanted to.

There's a dude running a stand next to the hotel. He has a stack of 20s that you can shamelessly steal from him. You can, but it won't do you any good. Whenever I tried to hand this particular stack to the clerk at the hat store, she wouldn't accept it. So, I'm not exactly sure why it's in the game at all, other than to act as a red herring.

Wrong. I took the money from the guy running the stand, gave it to the woman that owns the hatshop and it accepted it." it was also a year after the guide was made that you posted that it was porb updated or fixed
