How to use your VR controllers with the Tabletop Simulator - with Valve Index
At the moment (Dezemeber 2021) you will get the notice 'VR bindings missing' when you start the VR version of the 'Tabletop Simulator'.
This is a guide how you get away this notification and how you will be able to use your Controllers.

Latest controller update for Valve Index - 15th Sept. 2022

This guide is legacy since the update 13.2 from 15th of September 2022.

To learn the new controller just use the normal game tutorial to learn how to use the controllers.
What the tutorial isn't showing you:
after opening a menu for an object with button A, just use button A again to select something from the menu. I tell you that because I tried to use the index finger button to select and wondered why the menu is closed without any effect: just use button A again instead index finger button :)

Configurate TTS in 2D

Maybe, you don't need this chapter to activate the 'joypad emulation'! Go on the chapter 'configurate in VR' :)

If you see this message in VR, you now get help :)

First start Tabletop Simulator (TTS) not in VR but in 2d mode:

Go inside the configuration settings:

Go inside the 'Interface' tab and there you will see the 'VR-settings':

Activate 'joypad emulation':

Click on 'Apply' to tet the new settings active.

Done inside the 2d version of TTS, exit the game and start the VR version.

Configurate in VR

Start the VR version of the game.
With the Valve Index click the controller menu button to get into the SteamVR menu.

Click on the picture of the game:

Click on something like 'controller configuration':

Click on something like: 'user definded' on the right side:

Click on something like 'other controller bindings':

Here you can choose bindings, that other players uploaded. It is the easiest way to start in TTS.

Configurate the buttons yourself

To configurate the controllers with your own bindings click on the left button:

Here the Controllers are shown and you can reconfigurate all the buttons:
