I agree. If too many people in my park are complaining about being tired, I just throw benches in high traffic areas so they can be comfortable.
I don't honestly understand why they have 'optimization' the way it is, or how it impacts (positive or negative) profits. I'm not a min/maxer so I've never really sat down to crunch numbers.
Using the Slushie Shop:
Placed one down in the initial free plot. Couldn't place a second one down (optimized) until I unlocked 12 plots. (13 total). After that, I could place another slushie shop every 4 plots and still have it be 'optimized'.
I'll try to test this out.
