Ultio's Alien Rage - Unlimited 100% achievement guide

This guide aims to help you unlock all 49 achievements. It will be divided in 4 sections : Campaign Achievements, Weapons Achievements, Multiplayer Achievements and Misc. Achievements

Campaign Achievements

Campaign achievements

Going Solo
Play entire campaign using only 1 weapon

See "Do You Feel Lucky?".

Do You Feel Lucky?
Play entire campaign using only the pistol

I unlocked this achievement on my first playthrough, I never even fired any other weapon. The transport vehicle (Detour level) and the Mech phase will not break this achievement. The pistol can be pretty OP with the last perk (boost pistol) + 10% DMG.

Walk in the Park
Complete single player campaign on Normal difficulty

Complete the campaign on Challenging Difficulty. You'll have to do a run in this difficulty (finishing the game on Brutal does not complete this achievement).

A Serious Man
Complete single player campaign on Hard difficulty

Complete the campaign on Hard Difficulty. You'll have to do a run in this difficulty (finishing the game on Brutal does not complete this achievement).

Hardcore
Complete single player campaign on Brutal difficulty

Complete the campaign on Brutal Difficulty.

Tenacious
Complete single player campaign on any difficulty level

This achievement will unlock once you have completed the game on any of the three difficulty levels.

No Stone Unturned
Complete single player campaign on all difficulty levels

This achievement will unlock once you have completed the game on the three difficulty levels : Challenging, Hard and Brutal.

These are the story achievements, they'll unlock automatically as you progress through the Singleplayer Campaign. There is no need to detail them.

You should unlock this achievement in the first level, after having grabbed the Vorus Ion Rifle

Hoarder
Find all weapons

I was finally able to unlock all the weapons achievements. My bug was that even if I had picked all the weapons in the game, my Hoarder count was blocked at 7/8. After hours of exploring and trying stuff in the game, it turns out that they have to be picked in a very particular order !

Here's how I fixed the issue :

1. Make a backup of your SaveData folder (location : Documents\My Games\AlienRage\SinglePlayer\AFEARGame)
   
2. Delete the SaveData folder
   
3. Start a new game (Challenging Difficulty preferably)

This way, you'll be able to start the weapon count from the start and eventually get the weapons in the right order. It's very important that you follow precisely this guide, do not pickup any weapon before what's written down there.

You'll have to pickup the 8 weapons in this very order :
/!\ DO NOT PICKUP THE OTHER WEAPONS BEFORE THE MENTIONNED LEVEL, IF YOU DO YOU'LL HAVE TO DELETE YOUR SAVEGAME.

1. Vorus Ion Rifle - Level : Infiltration (1)
   You'll have to pickup the Vorus Ion Rifle on the first Warrior you kill (first enemy).
   
   
2. Vorus Blaster - Level : Infiltration (1)
   You'll have to pickup the Vorus Blaster on the first duo of Grunts you see (the first one doesn't have a weapon).
   
   
3. Human Shotgun - Level : Infiltration (4)
   You'll have to pickup the shotgun in the starting area, just before blowing up the wall.
   
   
4. Minigun - Level : Infiltration (4)
   You'll have to pickup the Minigun from the enemy shooting at you from the small building.
   
5. Rocket Launcher - Level : Escape (5)
   You'll have to pickup the Rocket Launcher located in the platform you can see in the screenshot.
   
6. SMG - Level : Escape (5)
   You'll have to pickup the SMG immediately on the right after extending the bridge.
   
   
7. Vorus Plasma Arc - Level : Gateway (11)
   You'll have to pickup the Plasma Arc on the first Elite enemy you'll see, make sure that you finish the level.
   
   
8. Sniper rifle - Level : Escape (5)
   You'll have to pickup the Sniper at this location
   

I came up with that list after hours of testings, trying different combinations in order to unlock this achievement. Please stick to the list, do not pickup the weapon before the mentionned location here.

See Hoarder achievements for the pickup order of the weapons. Press "C" to use the secondary fire mode, you'll need to have some "yellow ammo" to use this secondary fire mode.

Armed & Completionist
Use all weapons

You'll have to fire once with all 10 weapons in the game. See "Hoarder" for more details on how to get them without breaking the game.

Can’t Homidecide
Kill an enemy with every weapon

You'll have to kill one enemy with all 10 weapons in the game. See "Hoarder" for more details on how to get them without breaking the game.

Multiplayer Achievements

I followed this guide by StoneCold.

Here are the 5 steps to get your dedicated server up. All credits go to the original author, I'm just adding some more detailed steps :

1. Copy the Multiplayer folder (steamapps\common\Alien Rage\Multiplayer\) and paste it here : (steamapps\common\Alien Rage\)
   
2. Rename it "ARDS"
   
3. Right-click on the EXE file ARageMP.exe (steamapps\common\Alien Rage\ARDS\Binaries\Win32\) and select "Create Shortcut"
   
4. Right-click on the shortcut and click on "Properties"
   
5. In the "Target" adress, add this "server mp_8_cliffside?dedicated?steamsockets?seekfreeloadingserver?listen=1?bislanmatch=0" (without the commas) after "Win32\ARageMP.exe"

For me, I replaced this :

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\AlienRage\ARDS\Binaries\Win32\ARageMP.exe

With this :

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\AlienRage\ARDS\Binaries\Win32\ARageMP.exe server mp_8_cliffside?dedicated?steamsockets?seekfreeloadingserver?listen=1?bislanmatch=0

After following these instructions, make sure that :

• your VPN is disabled
  
• you have forwarded ports 7777, 7778 and 39060

Then you'll have to double click on the shortcut you just created to host your own server !
If you want to play on your own server, don't launch the game through Steam, double-click on the ARageMP.exe (not the shortcut) and the Multiplayer mode should start-up !

Quick notes : contradictory to what is said on the other guide, we didn't encounter the issue about achievement being unlocked for the host or first player. I was the host and the second player to join the game and we were able to unlock all these achievements

Quick notes 2 : if you're hosting the server, you can join your game (no minimum number of ppl to start a game) and unlock "Welcome to the Party", "Home Team", "Away Game" and "Immortal".

Welcome to the Party
Join a multiplayer game

This achievement will pop as soon as you join a MP game.

Home Team
Play as a human in a multiplayer game

This achievement will pop at the end of the round if you're part of the Human team when the timer ends.

Away Game
Play as an alien in a multiplayer game

This achievement will pop at the end of the round if you're part of the Alien team when the timer ends.

Hard Headed
Completely recover from damage 3 times during a multiplayer match

Have a friend shoot you three times in the torso with the pistol (Human or Alien) and wait until your recover completely (no more blood on the screen). Repeat two more times.

Supreme Being
Get the most kills during a single multiplayer match

See "There Can Be Only YOU!".

Immortal
Never die during a single multiplayer match

See "There Can Be Only YOU!".

There Can Be Only YOU!
Get the most kills AND never die during a single multiplayer match

This is pretty straightforward, have most kills and don't die in a MP game. This can be done with "Supreme Being" and "Immortal" if boosted.

Dominator
Win 10 multiplayer games

To boost this achievement you can have your mate join the other team, kill him once so your team leads then have him switch back to your team, you'll both get +1 Win.

Misc. Achievements

Juiced
Unlock first Perk

See "Utility Belt".

Utility Belt
Unlock all player perks

You'll unlock it as you improve your score. Some great ways to improve your score would be : Multikills, Explosive kills, Multiweapons kills, Killstreaks etc.

Apex Predator
Reach a player score of 25,000,000

See "Godlike".

Godlike
Reach a player score of 50,000,000

You should get it while you complete your three playthrough (one for each difficulty). Some great ways to improve your score would be : Multikills, Explosive kills, Multiweapons kills, Killstreaks etc.

Books on Tape
Find all audio recordings

For this achievement, please check this great guide ! Be careful if you reload last checkpoint after getting a log, the log may not have counted so you'll have to make sure you reach the next checkpoint or finish the level.

Explosive Personality
500 Kills With Explosions

1000 Promethium Containers Destroyed

You'll need to destroy 1000 of the red explosive boxes. The achievement should unlock during your three run (one for each difficulty) but if it doesn't, load the Detour level (the one with the mounted Machine Gun) on Challenging difficulty and destroy all barrels in the first area then press ESC->Reload last checkpoint.

Driving Angry
80 Kills While Piloting Mech

This achievement can be done during the * level, you should get it while doing your three runs. Otherwise, load the level and go shoot the ones you need !

The Exterminator
25 Kills Using Mech To Step On Enemies

This achievement can be done during the * level, you should get it while doing your three runs. Otherwise, load the level and let the stomp time begin !

It’s Personal
250 Kills With Melee

You can "farm" a checkpoint where many enemies spawn, preferably the grunt as they are oneshot by the melee hit ("F").

Mellon Baller
500 Total Headshots

You should get it while doing your three runs. If you don't, you know what to do.

Relentless
1500 Total Kills

This one may require you to do some enemy farming after you third run.

I don't understand the Hoarder achievement. How can you pick up the sniper rifle last on level 5 after having previously picked up a weapon on level 11?

I tried to create them following everything you explained in the guide, but for me it didn't work even after releasing the doors and making the file modifications in the guide. I was playing solo - you can dmg yourself with granades (some other folks in other guide did Hard Headed that way). Anyway I was able to do all other achievements solo, so this one seems simply buged for me :/
