Settings and comfort options in Walkabout Mini Golf
By Papa Sid
I've played many, many VR games over the last 7 years. The same questions always pop up for every new game release. Does X game have smooth locomotion? Teleport? Snap turn? Smooth turn? What type of anti-aliasing? And the list goes on. Too many times I've tried a game only to be disappointed that my preferred movement/turning methods aren't in the game. Here is an overview of the settings available in Walkabout Mini Golf.

Movement
  • Teleport (blink)
  • Continuous (controller forward)
Turning

Graphics quality, resolution scale, and anti-aliasing options are not available. However the game looks great on default settings and performs very well. Uses MSAA for a crisp image.

  • No spectator mode
  • No head-forward continuous movement

turning and movement on the same stick was a little nauseating at first
might just be the quest2 stick is a little too sensitive that i was getting soft turn combined with any forward movement causing nausea in freecam

Thanks for putting this together.

I think I'd say there is something like a spectator mode... close enough for me. Pull the trigger (I'm on Valve index) when it's the other person's turn, and you'll be positioned right behind them. Pull the trigger while any ball (yours or another players) is in motion, and you'll be taken to a place very near it... it't not continuous spectator following mode... but decent enough to get a good idea of what's happening.
