Rita has honey blonde hair that goes to about her neck in the back, with the front being slightly longer. With reddish pink eyes, and a smile that never leaves her face, she is sickeningly sweet in appearance. Her left eye is covered, but she seems to see just fine. She usually dons a maid outfit with pink accents that match her eyes. Her headdress is a frilly headband, with roses and horns on each side. Her outfit also has quite a bit of these roses scattered about, and they appear even on her lace gloves. These gloves are intricate and quite expensive looking--- they add to the professionalism of the outfit. Her dress itself is a standard monochrome pattern, with a big bow in the back. Rita's outfit is finished off with dark leggings and heels. She also wears a rose anklet on her right ankle. Overall, her appearance is very fitting to her personality and job as Durandal's adjutant.

The thing that stands out the most about Rita is, of course, the fact that she’s a maid. This polite and elegant way of being makes people forget that she’s one of the most powerful Valkyries of Schicksal. She enjoys cleaning and cooking, and overall being helpful to people. Rita’s probably been inspired by Ragna to take on this role, a Valkyrie that’s saved Rita when she was in middle school, but Rita says that it’s only a coincidence that she also grew up to be a maid. When Ragna told her that “maids are invincible”, Rita didn’t understand what she meant at first but later came to realize that it isn’t that a person becomes invincible because they’re a maid, but rather only a person that’s achieved perfection can become a maid. Similar to when people say “mothers are invincible”.

Rita also remembers reading a fragment of the book “Catcher in the Rye”, left in Reanna’s archives. Reanna wanted to save her fellow Valkyries from meeting a tragic fate, and Rita relates to her. She also expresses this feeling when the Immortal Blades suffer casualties in Arc City. She tries her best to also save the civilians exposed to World Serpent’s bomb, even if it means acting against Otto Apocalypse’s orders. These events lead to her developing a hateful attitude towards World Serpent, especially towards Raven.

Bianka’s remarked that Rita is very well versed when it comes to literature, and she also speaks over a dozen languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.

One important person for Rita is, of course, Durandal. When Otto asked Rita to give her opinion about her after the first time they met, she said that Bianka seems like a very talented, ambitious person, that will become the backbone of Schicksal in the future. Rita’s job is to help Bianka mature, and when the time comes that she realizes that the overseer isn’t the man she thinks he is, to ensure that she stays calm and sticks to her beliefs. Over the years, they’ve grown a close relationship, but Rita still treats Durandal as her higher-up when it comes to missions. Rita sometimes teases Durandal, calling her cute, offering her to wash her back or telling her that she enjoyed saying she wanted to sleep with her. Even so, Rita is always worried whenever Durandal goes on dangerous missions. During the visual novel, Rita was moved to the point of tears when Bianka expressed her feelings of powerlessness when it came to Eikenal’s death.

Rita is the daughter of a renowned florist from Manchester. She was supposed to take after the family business, but everything changed on a certain day in 2007, when she was only 11 years old. A small honkai incident happened in her hometown, and Rita was saved by a certain Valkyrie dressed as a maid. Rita was immobilized by fear and couldn’t move, so the valkyrie carried her to safety.

Her saviour’s name was Ragna. To Rita, Ragna had a special, beautiful elegance and fragrance, similar to an angel. The little girl was too shy to express her feelings into words, and could only thank the angel. Ragna gave her a business and told her to visit the restaurant she’s working at.

On the following day, Rita arranged a bouquet of sunflowers as she thought they fit Ragna and visited “Abyss Angel” in the afternoon, right after opening time. Ragna told her about the origins of her name, and that her mother was also a valkyrie and wanted her to follow the same path. She also told Rita that she was on a social activity, and that people are more likely to open up to ones working in the service industry. Rita and Ragna ended up talking together for the rest of the day.

In the following years, Rita ended up joining Schicksal and starting training as a valkyrie, even finishing an apprenticeship under Otto himself.

Rita’s played an important part during their adventure in the bubble universe, mostly acting as Bianka’s support. When Jimmy was kidnapped and Bianka wanted to act right away, Rita criticized her ways and told her that this isn’t the way a leader should be acting. Rita’s resistance to anaesthetic gas and her quick thinking is also what saved the group from being killed by the serpent queen Esther. Rita’s linguistic abilities came in handy, as she’s served as a translator between the group and the natives for a couple of times, and her ice attack is also what immobilized La Nina to give Bianka the opportunity to defeat them.

London Holiday

Rita receives a mission concerning the 2nd divine key and the matter of Britain. Durandal’s also having a holiday there, and Rita ends up giving her a tour. She later meets with Catherine, the director of the British Museum, who leads her to the object of interest: a fresco dated to 6th century CE of the well-known British legend of king Arthur. While analyzing the artifact, she gets attacked by a World Serpent cat named Stan that can turn into a honkai beast.

The next day, Catherine calls Rita back at the museum to tell her more about the Legend of King Arthur. She says that the legend might actually be how someone interpreted the story rather than how it actually happened. Her theory is that Avalon is not an actual place of our world, rather it may exist on another side of the space time fabric. King Arthur and Merlin embarked on a quest to find it, with a rumored weapon from Avalon that could slice open the very fabric of time being their only way of reaching it. Despite this, King Arthur never reached it.

While leaving, Rita notices a piece of soulium from the smashed up artifact, and sends it to Otto. He finds that the 2nd divine key has been used by the previous era to open portals to the sea of quanta, perhaps for seeking a way to defeat the honkai. He thinks that Arthur’s sword from the legends may have been the 2nd divine key, and Avalon a bubble in the sea of quanta.

The next day, Rita picks up valkyrie Susannah from squad Phosdjinns at the airport. She’s excited to dig, but the only digging she’ll be doing for now is through Catherine’s notes. They eventually decide on a place to start looking, that being Glastonbury.

There, Susannah takes some time to bond with Catherine. She’s always liked thousands of years old legends like that of king Arthur, since she’s been bedridden most of her childhood. Susannah tells her that the climate in Schicksal HQ is way better for allergies than that of London, and says she’ll ask Rita to take her there sometime.

They eventually find what appears to be king Arthur’s tomb. Catherine finds a sword, but it’s booby trapped, and Rita becomes separated from them. Rita gets attacked by Stan again, who says that he’s “abstained from every pleasure” for this very battle. On the other side of the wall, Catherine and Susannah get surrounded by World Serpent troupes, and Catherine turns out to be a traitor, so she shoots Susannah.

Back on the surface, Catherine meets with Jackal, who reveals that the soulium found by Rita, and king Arthur’s tomb were all red herrings made to stir them away from finding the 2nd divine key. When Jackal shoots Catherine, Otto pops out of her instead. He’s actually been shape shifted into Susannah the entire time, and when Catherine shoot her he took her form instead. Jackal’s attacks do nothing against his soulium avatar, so Raven has to snipe him with the 3rd divine key. They’ve been saving this shot for Rita, but they still manage to destroy one of his soulium avatars.

Back in the tomb, Stan goes away but is then easily defeated by Durandal, who decides to pick him up. She meets up with Otto, who’s relocated his consciousness in a tiny body. Durandal smashes up the wall, they meet with Rita and Otto explains his plan. Besides him actually being Susannah all along, he’s also sent Durandal to follow Rita in case they fell in the serpent’s trap.

Back in London, he explains their next course of action: Jackal’s been trying to lure them away from London, so that’s probably where the 2nd divine key is, hidden in a spacetime pocket. He plans to have an array of mechs sending EM waves around London, and any anomaly found could be what they’re looking for. He sets up Durandal to look after World Serpent in case they attack, and they find the giant train that is the 2nd divine key by destroying it’s container with a honkai beam.

Second Key

Rita doesn’t do much during this arc, she appears in the beginning with the Immortal Blades and during Durandal’s trials as her best friend, taking Kevin’s place. When Durandal returns, Rita goes up to her and hugs her tightly.

𝓖𝓪𝓶𝓮 𝓢𝓽𝓸𝓻𝔂
Rita’s been tasked with aiding Fu Hua during her mission. Fu Hua tells her that she doesn’t want to hurt the Hyperion squad, to which Rita agrees but she does think that it’s dangerous to be emotional on the battlefield. They eventually find Murata Himeko and Tesla, Rita easily gets rid of the AE mechs and her and Fu Hua carry the 2 of them to the church as prisoners.

When Fu Hua betrays Schicksal, Rita attempts to stop her but Durandal tells her to let her go, so she complies.

The next we see of her is when she’s interrupting Gray Serpent’s deal with AE. She tells him that World Serpent could make friends with Schicksal if they choose to give the info about the Herrscher of Void to her but he refuses and she ends up killing him. Rita removes all his prosthetics, including an ocular implant, for unlocking biometric security measures. She leaves a chip for the Hyperion squad to find, and to take advantage of Bronya Zaychik's hacking skills.

She prepares to ambush them, but they manage to leave the Gray Serpent stronghold and Rita loses track of them. Instead, she’s the one being ambushed by Raiden Mei. They fight, and Rita remarks that she’s impressed that she can still fight this well despite losing the Gem of Conquest. Rita eventually defeats her and installs a track chip on her, but Mei manages to escape.

Back at the HQ, after finding enough info on K-423, Rita needs to go back to Arc city, so Otto sends her there as a business delegation, as partners with Heliopolis Life Sciences. She gets a tour of the facility with the help of a robot controlled by it’s advisor named Cioara. Rita wishes to see the recent medical records of the honkai leak, and she finds out that a lone ranger has been saving people wherever honkai beasts showed up.

Back on EOS, Rita gets the help of Alvitr from Echelon 3 to go through the data provided by Heliopolis. Rita then infiltrates Gray Serpent’s stronghold and finds enough clues to realize that K-423 going to show up when the next honkai eruption will happen.

It doesn’t take much time before it takes place, and Rita assembles the Immortal Blades. While searching for her, she sees that the honkai zombies have stigma marks on them. They eventually find her, and a fight breaks out. K-423 asks Rita whether saving the city or capturing her matters more, to which she replies that they’re the same for her. She gives Rita something, and tells her to see what Heliopolis is up to for herself.

Rita examines the things she’s been given: an injector of Schicksal standard and a data card engraved with the Heliopolis logo. K-423’s parting words left her with a thorn in her side, and now she wants to find out what Heliopolis is truly after. The injector is a vaccine provided by Schicksal, but it’s formula has been modified. The marks on yesterday’s zombies were confirmed to be stigmata, so there are 2 possibilities: someone’s turned valkyries into zombies, or someone implanted stigmata on human subjects. Rita decides to leave the matter of K-423 on the side for now and examine Heliopolis more.

At night, she sneaks into the facility, and picks up a zombie reading on her radar from the underground. She manages to get inside, and finds about Heliopolis’ horrendous secret: many pods were expanded in the gigantic room without end, and inside of the pods were zombies with familiar marks on them: stigma. Rita didn’t find any faces she knew, but anger flowed through her: the subjects were of different ages and sizes, some had honkai tissue implanted inside of them, some had their body parts removed and replaced with cyborg organs. Rita began digging through the information in the facility: people from the previous era put anti-honkai genomes inside a few of their embryos, the genome would manifest on the human skin, thus the name stigma. Stigma bearing humans have much better control over honkai energy than normal humans. As the bloodlines went down, the genes mutated, so the complete genome didn’t survive. That’s why everyone from the current era carries stigma genes, yet only a few are true stigma hosts. What Schicksal was doing was synthesizing stigma and using them as implants, but their attempts are only mere imitations. World serpent on the other hand, found a way to activate and reconstruct stigma artificially. But, people who can’t handle it will die or turn into zombies. So, they plan to experiment on the entire population of Arc city, turning most people into zombies.

Suddenly, Raven appears on the screen and throws some zombies at them. The Immortal Blades take care of them easily, but she then uses the HSN-B46 serum on them. The serum neutralizes honkai energy, and it’s absorbed by skin so Rita’s suit is useless. Raven also sends a dangerous zombie at them, and the Immortal Blades are driven into a corner. Kiana comes into rescue: they manage to get on top of the building, Rita crashes the EOS on the Heliopolis facility, and Kiana saves both of them by going through her portals. After getting to the other side, Rita loses consciousness.

Rita later woke up at Kiana’s place, with her seemingly talking to herself. She leaves a report to Durandal, expecting the Hyperion squad to also pick up on it. She goes to the Heliopolis’ biomedical facility, and Alvitr tells her it’s going to be dangerous to continue the mission alone. Rita says that Durandal may not get here in time, and she does not want the glory of defeating an enemy after so many innocent people have died.

Rita eventually finds info on the antidote, but she’s also found by Mei. They make a deal: Mei helps her secure the antidote, and Rita tells her Kiana’s whereabouts and gives back Gray Serpent’s ocular implant. Rita gets the antidote, and figures that they turned the engine of the EOS ship she crashed into a honkai bomb and put it on the top of the signal tower for maximum effect. Rita then stays behind to deal with the Tonatiuh monster that’s been chasing Kiana and Mei.

After Kiana took care of the honkai bomb, she learned that Durandal was coming to her aid, which put her mind at perfect ease. She tried to salvage any data that might be left about Heliopolis but the database was already corrupt. Durandal called her, and Rita apologized for failing the mission, but Durandal said that she'll be the judge of that once she reads the report, and that everything’s fine because Rita’s fine.
