Resident Evil Outbreak

Resident Evil Outbreak, known as Biohazard Outbreak (バイオハザード アウトブレイク Baiohazādo Autobureiku?) in Japan, is a survival-horror game released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 between 2003 and 2004. A sequel to the game known as Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 was released in 2005.

It was the first Resident Evil game with multiplayer capability, using the PlayStation 2's online network. Up to four players could participate simultaneously in one scenario; alternately, in single-player mode, the player is accompanied by two AI-controlled characters. Outbreak introduces the "virus gauge," which limits the amount of time players may spend on a scenario. The virus gauge rises at different rates for different characters, and increases rapidly if the character is attacked or crawling on the ground. The game lost all online play capabilities for the USA servers in 2007. The Japan servers stayed up but finally went down in July 2011.

KEVIN RYMAN

STORY: Kevin Ryman was an officer of the Raccoon Police Department. He survived the Raccoon City Destruction Incident in 1998, escaping on 1 October, along with seven other survivors he had met several days prior.

Sometime between 1996 and 1998, Kevin had applied for the department's special forces unit, S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service), but failed the screening test twice, likely due to his carefree attitude.However, he seemed determined to study and apply once again.Kevin had previously placed in a marksman competition held by the Raccoon Police Department (RPD), having won a trophy from the event.Kevin's fellow officers, Chris Redfield and Forest Speyer, had also won these events.

Skills:Kevin possesses superior athletic abilities, being in top physical shape and able to fight in close quarters. Kevin is also able to use handguns with heightened accuracy. He has a high-quality handgun at game start.

MARK WILKINS

STORY:Currently working for a security company in Raccoon City, Mark is a Vietnam War veteran. Over 50 years old, his robust strength has not dimmed at all. He has tasted emptiness of war, and there is a side to him that is mentally fragile. Now, more than anything, he just wants to live in peace.

Skills: Mark-type characters represent the muscle of the team, though they are balanced by their slow speed. Starting item 9mm Handgun and Handgun Magazine. He is strong with melee weapons.

GEORGE HAMILTON

Story: A doctor who works at Raccoon City Hospital, George is a first-class surgeon. He doesn't exactly take the lead and call the shots, but he does possess a cooperative spirit and the power to naturally acquire the trust of others.

Skills: Carry the Medical Set, allowing them to create more powerful health items from whatever is scattered around. These characters also have a "dodge-tackle" ability, allowing them to avoid a zombie as well as fight back. It must be charged for four seconds, however. George's key item is his Medical Set.

JIM CHAPMAN

Story: A subway employee, Jim is a friendly and cheerful fellow, but exposes his cowardice and narrow-mindedness. Event though he means no harm, he talks too much and invites frowns of disgust from those around him. However, he has powers of intuition and is very good at solving puzzles.

Skills: Can predict where items may be scattered in rooms before they get there (represented by "?" marks on the map). He can also Play dead, very usefull to avoid Zombies and others, it does increase the character type's Infection Rate until they get back up. Jim's key item is his lucky Coin.

DAVID KING

Story: King may have had a rough upbringing, evident by his adult aversion towards chains due to memories of being arrested in his youth. King was keen on survivalism, and collected books detailing how to survive in various disaster situations. Along with this King also developed skills in repairing firearms and had knowledge on how to use ordinary tools as weapons to the point of developing an ability to assess their practicality before using them. A quiet plumber, David doesn't speak at all about his past, but it's not because he's unfriendly; he just seems to be a man of few words who only speaks when necessary. With sharp eyesight and deft movements of his knife, he can prove his worth getting around in a scene of blood-shed.

Skills: Experienced with various weapons and can fire handguns one-handed. They can also perform COMBO attacks with knives. David-types are also resourceful, and can create maintenance materials with the Tool Belt, and can fix Broken Handgun SGs. David's key item is his Tool Box.

YOKO SUZUKI

Story: Yoko Suzuki is a former Umbrella employee and a survivor of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. A "self-proclaimed" university student with good computer knowledge, Yoko has a quiet, reserved personality. However, the strength of her inquisitive mind emerges with a surprising toughness, making up for her absentmindedness brought on by thinking too much analytically

Skills: Yoko’s claim to fame is her large knapsack: it holds four more items in addition to her normal four inventory slots. Thus she’s a great partner in online games. Your group can hoard more health items, more ammunition, and more vital items for the scenario. Perform Yoko’s escape maneuver to avoid enemies. Yoko's key item is her Knapsack. She can hold more items at one time.

ALYSSA ASHCROFT

Story: Alyssa Ashcroft (born c.1970) is an American investigative reporter. A former resident of Raccoon City, Ashcroft was one of a handful of humans that escaped the city, and worked to expose the Umbrella Corporation and its link to bioweapons in the city. Ashcroft is regarded for her ambition in getting to the bottom of the story as well as her vanity.

Skills: Alyssa is a newspaper journalist working for the local paper. With a vigorous sense of curiosity, she has an insaciable appetite for collecting various bits of information. This is the source of her power. With a pushy and strong personality, she is a sore loser who often clashes with others. But even though she is stuck on herself she does take care of her fellow man. She is a master of unlocking things. Alyssa's key item is her set of Picking Tools.

CINDY LENNOX

Story: Cindy Lennox is an American survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident. Though trained as a waitress at Jack's Bar, Lennox's familiarity with first aid helped her survive the following week before her eventual escape on the morning of Thursday 1 October.

Skills: Cindy, the waitress at J’s bar, carries an herb case that contains and can hold additional herbs. Like Yoko, Cindy is a great support party member. She can use her herbs on other party members. Use Cindy’s duck move to elude an attack and make a quick escape without wasting ammo or risking damage.[/codde]
