How to add custom flags
By S-H-O-G-U-N
This was a little experiment I decided to do after I added mods in this game. I made this because the flags are very limited in Navalart and I thought I should share this guide with you on how to add more flags in the game. This is a step-by-step guide on how to add custom flags to the game.

1. Open up the files and find your Steam file and open it.
2. Find the "steamapps" file and open it.
3. Then open up the "common" file.
4. Then find your Navalart game file and open that up.
5. After that you then open up "Navalart_Data" file.
6. Then you'll find a file called "Flags" and open that up.
7. There you go, you have the file opened. Now just pick any image of your choice and just put them in the "Flags" file.
However, the image has to be .png otherwise the image of your choice will not work and won't be in the game. If your image is anything else other than a .png like .jpg, then just convert it into a .png. GIFs doesn't work either.
8. Exit out of the files and start your game.
And there you go, you now have your own custom flag in the game to use for your warships.

The secret here, once you've followed SHOGUN's instructions, is to locate the flag you want at flagdownload.com , resize it there to 500x500, save to desktop then lift into the file 'flags' as in the original instructions; flagdownload.com is free.

I'm pretty late, but, if anyone's having issues with the aspect ratio of the flags and having it appear weird in game (like the image for step 8 of this guide), the aspect ratio of the image file needs to be 1:1. You can change this in Paint or pretty much any image editing software. Since most people have Microsoft Paint, here's how to fix it there:

1. Open the file in paint, right click your flag in the Flags folder and go to "Open with">"Paint".
2. Once you've opened it, go to the top left and open "File">"Image properties". You can also open this with Ctrl+E.
3. In the new window, find "Image size". The height and width must be equal for the flag to appear correctly. For example, if your flag is 1920x1080 pixels, change it to be 1920x1920 pixels.
4. Click save on the image properties window and it will close. Then, save and exit Paint. The flag should now appear correctly in game.

Ratio 1920x1080 (16:9) should be good enough.
