Prologue - Welcome To The Airship
I am Stewart, the steward, and Tophat Airs hopes that you'll enjoy you're stay.

This guide is mainly about the lobbies that one will encounter will playing Among Us. Though to learn more on how to be a cunning Impostor, the most adorable Crewmate ever, speak the language, basic gameplay or a Host, the guides at the "Other Guides" chapter will teach you how.

Don't Forget To

Lobby Library

This is where Tophat keeps track of some of these lobbies, I hope you enjoyed this tiny library and your stay.
Super Secret Lobbies - Shellnut
These are the private lobbies that were made so others can play in peace. The Crewmates and Impostors want to avoid most of the other lobbies that are mentioned here, because they just want to play the game, without the -9000 IQ gamers, toxicity, hackers, "Player" (and by extension "Deku"), and losing their faith in humanity. Some of these lobbies found safe havens in Discord, family/friends' Zoom meetings and simple get togethers.
Wild Yet Unpredictable Public Lobbies
Now these lobbies are out in the public, this is were anyone can join in.

Though these lobbies are rather infamous for having the craziest mishaps, gamers that make sand grains look intelligent or worst, a hive of scum and villainy (There's some predatory criminals making use of the game's openness). Some of these lobbies will be featured here.

Tips:

I won't guarantee that your gaming experience will be good or ya might strike gold and be lucky, or have the same bad luck as Player and meet toxic people or people that needs to see the therapist instead of playing a stressful game, since crazy stuff happens even though you join a non-toxic server. It can be a mixed bag. Well, that's what I experienced earlier and I have the wildest stories to tell.
Adults Only

There's a variety of these lobbies that have variations of these names are hosted, but contrary to some of these having the name "Adults Only", the host is probably a child/man-child that are on a power trip and randomly banning anyone, trying to get those that disagreed with them. At times for the most mundane reasons, like banning a color that they dislike.

The other types are just normal lobbies playing the game as it's meant to be played. A murder mystery.

Confused for

  • ImHorni
Theme Lobby

These lobbies has everyone dress up as a particular theme, almost anything imaginable as long as they follow the theme. Unlike most of these lobbies, there's less chances of getting kicked out.

A toxic example is the host banning someone for not wearing the Party Hat, since it's his/her/xir's birthday or de-evolving to the Lightspeed Lobby or the MHA/ Anime Lobby.

Now the Theme Lobby has a lot of smaller versions underneath it's umbrella.

Confused for

  • RPG (e.g. Squid Game and Game Toons)
  • MHA/ Anime RPG
  • Lightspeed
The Hip Lobby
Now these lobbies value fashion above all else, they'll stick to using only the cosmetics, if you don't have the correct hat, pet, skin, or cosmetic. You'll be kicked out.

Confused for

  • Theme
  • MHA/Anime RPG
  • RPG (e.g. Squid Game and Game Toons)
  • The Lightspeed lobbies
  • Anti-Impostor
ImHorni Lobbies
These specific lobbies are like natural lobbies that one can jump in to play Among Us, except for the Host or some of the gamers have a very perverted gamertag(s). These individuals may be searching to get laid, an edgy person, trying to find someone to date, a kid or teen that doesn't know any better and biting off more than they can chew, or last but not least, the Host/some of the gamers, may have ill intentions (That are not gonna go in depth about, just report and call the cops, if something gets really fishy).

Confused for

  • Adults Only
Anti-Impostor(s) - Shellnut
They may look like ordinary lobbies, no one knows if that these are the "Anti-Impostor" lobbies, until, one gets Impostor and kills the host. The latter will quickly ban the Jeff wannabe, Mr. Cheese or Ptheven, the most clueless, dumb Imp, for offing him/her/xir off when the round finishes.

These lobbies also provide comedy gold, no trolling required.
Lightspeed Lobbies Shellnut

Once entering, you get kicked out and remain shocked, because these aren't the infamous RPG lobbies at all; just like the "Anti-Impostor" lobbies, they appear normal. - No inappropriate gamertags, no anime/manga, or Player 001 names in sight. You were kicked out at speed of 186,000 miles per second for not doing anything.

It's a mystery of why these lobbies exist, but aren't making their lobbies private, it's been surmised that the host wants to save room for his/her/xir's friends/relative/co-workers. But aren't making this a Private Lobby for some reason. Just basic trolling or ignorant people that haven't figure out the mechanics of the game.

They are confused for

  • MHA/anime lobbies
  • Anti-Impostor lobbies
  • RPG (e.g. Squid Game and Game Toons)
The RPG Lobbies Shellnut
These are the RPG lobbies, they are rather mostly infamous, because they're mostly treated like role play forums or worst, they're living out their horny fanfiction. Though there's a few that are semi-playing and/or actually playing Among Us. There's a different versions that don't follow the patterns here, but they have a ton of similarities with each other. Until the RPG-ers learn how to use the Private Settings or somebody teaches them on how to use said settings.

Technically, if one wants to play in some of the public lobbies for a good round or two, avoid any lobbies that has these names. Since they will kick you out faster than the Annoying One using a jackhammer on the Emergency Button mainly for not having a specific gamertags or for not RPG-ing.

Note: Most of these RPG lobbies even kick or outright ban those that are named after minor characters, like Player 077, Cub or Uraraka. Despite that these characters featured here lists everyone and Mr. Cheese's grandma in them, ya can't be too careful.

Slightly Off Topic: I won't explain why there's a "Character A x Character B" or a combo of two/three characters' smoosh together lobby names, since it's shipping. Last time, I explained the shipping stuff, it sounds like I was describing something that will make someone literally pray to God to send another flood.

Warning:
Spoilers up ahead for these shows, anime/manga, and cartoons.
Tactical RPGs
These are the lobbies that are dedicated to role playing or mixing the AU mechanics together with a fandom that they like (They are semi-playing Among Us).
My Hero Academica RPG Lobbies (Or Anime RPG Lobbies In General)

This anime/manga series is the main one that Among Us gamers envision when they think of "anime/manga", "lobbies", and "RPGs" in the same sentence.

"Why do I always lose?...I have to find the player within."

Note: There's other YouTube influencers that made this family unfriendly game popular with the kiddos, but the NewScape Studios is the primary one. Also, there'll be a part 2 of this list, since Game Toons is milking FNF to kingdom come.
Squid Game

"Red Light, Green Light"

These particular lobbies play a variation of this game, the Impostors are the Doll. They are label "Squid Game".

For the Impostors, their role is the "Doll", but they vent when the round starts. But there's some specific rules, like: not allowed to kill a Crewmate(s), if they're standing still, don't vent and sabotage, no camping or stand still with the Crewmate(s).
For the Crewmates, they have to finish their tasks to win. Though they have to be careful, because the Doll/Imp(s) can vent and kill them, especially if they're running around at full blast. The Crewmates need to stop moving and wait for the Doll/Imp(s) to leave.

Example

Squid Game Red Light Green Light Rules? Guide

RPG

They role play as the characters and are similar to the Game Toons and My Hero Academica lobbies. Unlike the properly labeled "Squid Game" ones that play red light, green light, they go by the names of the characters.

Squid Game Girl/Doll[imgflip.com]
BTS - Not The KPop Band, Ya Bakas! - Tophat Airship's Lobby Tours
The feedback that I got was to split Kaletile/Cyan's Skeld Guide , so, I split into four guides, this one, the "How To Be Like Jeff", "Sus Translator", "How To Be Ramiu" and "Among Us - Game On". That way in case more info pops out about the launcher, I won't be typing out "Les Misérables" or any book that's extra thick like that.

I was planning to make this into a basic gameplay mechanics guide that also shows what type of lobbies, but that became too much. So, this is just a lobby guide.
