@Fava I think they have done some cleaning of dusty files cabinet and found those plans because we got Desperados series 3

Couldn't have said it better myself, and to think that the only reason i found out about this game 13 years ago was because of a box of kellogs cereal, it deserves more attention.

It is so sad that these days developers (or publishers for that matter) think that 3D is the only way to make a sale. These kind of beautiful rendered 2D-graphics are not easy to top even with today's high-end-systems. Not to even mention that most of the casual players don't have the gear to run all the fancy and unnecessary settings. This game looks so astonishing on it's own and literally the only thing there is to fix, is the HD-availability.

Indeed, a HD release optimized for todays computers would be great, or maybe some sort of sequel with the same graphics (and i literally mean the same) only in full HD would be sweet. Too bad the plans for the future of the series is in the bottom of a dusty file cabinet at Nordic Games seeing as they own the rights now...

I would buy this game again if the developers decided to make a HD-edition. I don't think this game can be modified without the original source code. So we are stuck with 4:3 aspect ratio and small resolution if they don't do any official release.
