Surviving Mars- How to have colonists

In this guide I will tell you how to keep colonists on Mars. I will give you a few steps on how to do it. I hope this helps, and if it totally rocks your world then please give awards.

Step 1: If you're new to Surviving Mars, you might want to start out on creative mode. It makes some things a lot easier such as having more resources to start with and having more rockets. I would also recommend using the default mission sponsors and commander profiles because they are the easiest. Then start your mission.

Step 2: Look for a good landing spot that has a lot of concrete and water deposits and is a buildable area. When you're ready, land your rocket in the designated place. Immediately start scanning sectors, analyzing anomalies, and researching techs. Set up a concrete extractor on the concrete deposit. Set up a universal depot next to your rocket for the drones to store resources in. Build some power producers and connect them to the concrete extractor using power cables.

Step 3: Set up a drone hub and sensor tower and connect them to the power grid. Set up more storage like dumping sites if you need to. Then create a moisture vaporator and a fuel refinery, connect them using pipes, and connect them to the power grid. Once you do that your drones will collect fuel and bring it to the rocket. Once the rocket is completely fueled up, send it back to Earth.

Step 4: Construct a water extractor on a water deposit and connect it to a water tower using pipes. Construct a MOXIE and connect it to an oxygen tank. Construct a dome near your base to house the colonists. Connect the MOXIE, water extractor, and dome to the power grid. Connect the oxygen tank and water tower to the dome using pipes.

Step 5: You did it! Go to the resupply screen and send a passenger rocket with 12 colonists to Mars. You will need to order some food for the colonists as well and make residential space inside the dome. Now all you need to do is have the colonists survive for 10 sols and then you will be done with the most important step to colonizing Mars!
