1. Getting a section piece
To make a circle, you will need to get a section of it first, here's how:

Make sure you are doing this in pause mode beforehand!

1. Get an object you want to make a circle with, we will use a Spike for example.

2. Get a Metal pole and place it under the Spike, and then attach both with a Fixed cable (you can hold ALT and drag objects to align them with the grid), length of the pole will determine the size of your circle.

3. Place a Pin in the bottom of the pole.

4. For the last step, disable collision on the metal pole and make the entire section piece weightless using the context menu.

After that, your section piece is done!
2. Making a circle
Once you have your section piece done, it's time to make a circle with it

Next steps have to be done while unpaused

1. Select and copy your previously built circle section.

2. Move over and start pasting sections by pressing V, make sure to not move your mouse while doing this.

3. Once the circle has formed, select all and freeze, select the metal rods inside and delete them.

4. Connect each object with a Fixed cable, select all and unfreeze, then do the same to restore weight. It is not necessary if you want your circle to remain frozen.

You now have a perfectly round circle!

3. Making spacing for a circle segment
Sometimes, circle sections when pasted won't align properly, leading to this:

For cases like these, we can use additional spacing blocks to help circle segments align properly, and here's how you do it:

1. Disable collision on the object you want to make a circle with

2. Place a block above that will be used for spacing and attach it with a fixed cable, make sure to make it weightless, we will use a Metal Cube for example

3. Now you simply copy your modified circle piece and repeat the usual process of stacking segments.

4. Once you formed it, continue the usual process of making a circle (removing poles and metal cubes, restoring weight, etc.)

Spacing can also be used to adjust the amount of segments you want to have in your circle, for example this fan sphere:

(note that metal pole length has been resized)
4. Snap to grid circle making method
This method of circle making is simpler and more precise compared to the previous one, but has a limit on the amount of max segments (which is 25). Here is how you do it:

Make sure you are doing this in pause mode beforehand!

1.
  • Get a first object you will be making a circle with.
  • Get a second object you will be using as a pivot to rotate first object around.
We will use a bowling ball and a brick for example.

2. Align the brick to be above the bowling ball by dragging them with Alt key held, length between 2 of the objects will determine the circle radius.

3. Select and copy your segment

4.
  • Paste the segment, select it and drag it over to the first segment in a way that makes both bowling balls align.
  • Rotate it by an increment, which can be done by holding Alt.

5. Repeat the process, until you get a full circle (you can copy your previous segments to speed up the process).

6. Remove bowling balls inside.

7. You got a circle! Here are some showcases of things you can build with this method:

5. End of the tutorial
That's the end of the tutorial! Hope you enjoyed this little technique.
Here are some more swag circles:
