By ĿIFE oƒ ƤIE

Step 1
1. Load the game.

2. Go into Campaign mode.

3. Choose the map of choice from any chapter (RCT3, Soaked or Wild). Obviously you must own the original game and all required expansions to use the maps from the owning chapter.

4. Wait for your chosen map to load.

5. As soon as the map is loaded, immediately pause the game.

6. Now simply save the game, when asked what to name the save game file set it as "RCT3ChosenCampMap" and save.

7. Map now saved? Alrighty then, exit the game.

8. Move on to Step 2.
Step 2
1. Having now exit the game, go to "My Documents" on your system.

2. In the "My Documents" folder search for "RCT3" and open that folder.

3. In the "RCT3" folder search for "Campaigns" and open that folder.

4.1. Was the map you saved included with base RCT3? If so then open the "Campaign 0000" folder.

4.2. Was the map you saved included with Soaked? If so then open the "Soaked" folder AND THEN open the "Campaign 0000" folder."

4.3. Was the map you saved included with Wild? If so then open the "Wild" folder AND THEN open the "Campaign 0000" folder."

5. You will now see 1 or more folders with "Scenario" in the name along with a number for that particular scenario. The files are named accordingly, so if the map you saved was Scenario 1 in-game then you need to open the "Scenario01" folder etc.

6. After opening the correct folder you will now see the save file named "RCT3ChosenCampMap", you must now COPY this file.

7. After COPYING the file navigate back to the "RCT3" folder location.

8. Now in the "RCT3" folder search for the "Start New Scenarios" folder and open it.

9. Now PASTE the file you COPIED earlier.

10. Move on to Step 3.
Step 3
1. Launch the game once again.

2. Now in-game go to "Tools", select "Scenario Editor" mode to load the default blank map.

3. Now in Scenario Editor mode choose "Files and Options" from the list on the left and select "Load Game".

4. At the top of the Load Game window bring up the dropdown menu and select "Start New Scenarios" then load the map designated "RCT3ChosenCampMap.dat" and wait for the park to be loaded.

5. The map you chose to save from Campaign mode should now be loaded and you should still be in Scenario Editor mode giving you the freedom to edit that map to your liking and change all the preset rules.

6. Go crazy making your changes!

7. Once finished go to the "Save Game" menu and save your map into "Scenarios" from the dropdown list (see 4).

8. Now quit Scenario Editor mode and return to the main menu.

9. Now select "Play", choose "Custom Scenario" and load the Scenario map that you just saved.

10. Have fun!

ĿIFE oƒ ƤIE, would you mind putting this guide also on the Complete Edition of the game?

Or you can go into the game's Steam folder, look under "Campaigns" and there they are, all you need to do is put them into the Scenario folder in Documents and there. I did not need to do any start and saves.

I think so, CTMoo.

Once you're in the scenario editor any changes to the objectives and challenges (as well as prizes and fines) can be made.

I also miss some depth through more tasks and objectives.

Out of curiosity, what types of rules can you change?

Sometimes I wish that the career campaigns had more tasks/requirements to complete for each scenario, so wondered if that's possible with your guide here... :steamhappy:
