How to make a 100 tick or 200 tick local host server
Von ProSkater und 1 Helfern
As the title says, this is to make your own local host server into 100 tick/200 tick/Custom tick. After this guide, when you click create a server, it will be 100/200/custom tick, instead of the doggy DÖÖ DÖÖ 66 tick.

Step 1. Make a cfg file
Disclaimer: For this tutorial, we're going to be making a 100 tick local host server config, considering I play on war-lords.net PUG servers that run on 100 tick. However, since the introduction of 200 tick servers (4 Ex: Awpclan.com servers, as of 2022), you can just change all the arguments/parameters, in this guide, from 100 to 200, if you want. It really all depends on what tickrate, the server you play on, is set to, so you can get comfortable with that tickrate. It's all preference.

1) Navigate to your cfg folder, (C: or D: Drive>Steam>steamapps>common>Counter-Strike Source>cstrike>cfg), and right click to create a text document.

2) Title the txt document listenserver.cfg.

3) Insert these commands to the document.

cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
sv_maxupdaterate 100
sv_minupdaterate 100
sv_maxcmdrate 100
sv_mincmdrate 100
sv_maxrate 30000
sv_minrate 25000
fps_max 600
sv_unlag 1
sv_maxunlag .5

4) Then hit ctrl + S to save the document, and exit.
Step 2. Download Tickrate Enabler
5) Head over to Github and download the latest release of tickrate enabler.

Scroll down to the README and follow the instrustions.

https://github.com/idk1703/TickrateEnabler/releases

Note: make sure you download the correct release for your preference and the proper asset for your operating system.

6) Take the .zip file and extract it into your cstrike folder.

(C: or D: Drive>Steam>steamapps>common>Counter-Strike Source>cstrike)

It should look like this.

Step 3. Launch Parameters
Lastly, you need to head over to your steam library menu and right click on Counter-Strike: Source and head to properties.

Here, you can see the LAUNCH OPTIONS where we will be putting the arguments -tickrate 100 & -insecure. PREFERABLY, you should set the -tickrate to what you set the listenserver cfg to. In this case, it was 100.

It should look like this.

DISLAIMER: you can't join any servers from the menu when you put -insecure as a launch argument.parameter, so make sure to erase it when you want to play online. This is the only downside. :9

Now, once you create a server, it should be a crisp 100 tick. You can make sure it's 100 tick by typing net_graph 1 into console, while in the server, and looking for the 100.0/s on the right.

Finally, you should have a 100 tick private/local host server to mess around with in. I havn't found a guide on this anywhere, for some reason.. so I thought I would make one :) Enjoy family.

Tip: If you have all the commands in the listenserver.cfg file, and don't want to go offline to start a 100tick server. You can also join a random 100 tick server from the server browser, disconnect, and then create a server. This would also create a 100 tick server

oh snap! thank you for letting me know abt that! I may have forgotten two commands... cl_cmdrate 100 and cl_updaterate 100. Try putting those into console or into the listenserver cfg file and it should fix it.

For some reason it's stuck at 20 both locally and playing on other servers.
