I haven't used paint tool sai in a long time but I might give it another try after seeing this

I'm not quite sure, I never used that program before, but you can possibly try to tweak your brush settings?

You should be able to click on the arrow next to the simple circle option, and select another texture from that list, but I only used the Paper 02 texture for this brush, right underneath it
