  • which makes it ideal in qualifying as well
  • nevertheless, the tyre degrades quickly
  • low working range compound
Medium
  • Colour: Yellow
  • one of the most frequently used tyres in the range
  • striking a very good balance between performance and durability
  • with the accent on performance
  • it is biased towards speed rather than long distances
  • but it is a good choise at the start and in sprint races or rather at the end
  • medium working range compound
Hard
  • Colour: White
  • is the most perfectly balanced of all the tyres
  • with an ideal compromise between performance and durability
  • it is extremely versatile
  • they are used on circuits that tend towards high speeds, temperatures and energy loadings

I hope, that I could explain to you, what purpose and what properties the particular tyre compounds have. If you have suggestions for improvement to this guide or questions about the tyre compounds, please leave them in the comments. Of course, I am also happy about a thumb up and possibly a star.

not really helpful. This 'guide' is how it should be. But it isn't. The hard tyre is way too slow. The AI rarely uses it. In my now 3 seasons I have seen a hard tyre once and only on an early unscheduled stop, 5 Laps later the AI decided it would be better to change again. And yes I race full races. It is almost always faster to do 2 or even 3 stops with one medium and the rest soft than use the hard. Even in online the hard tyre is very rare because it is just too slow.
The wet Tyre is definetly not good in a variety of conditions. It overheats way too fast and it gets extremely slidey. I have found that in most circumstances it is better to change later to wets and earlier to drys.
