You also will need to match across the middle. The built-in slots also have to match up to their neighbors, and the multi-symbol bricks are a multi-match.
There's actually more than one way to complete some. So long as the key symbols match as well as the individual dominos it will work.
This is the dumbest puzzle I think I've ever encountered. Between the UI that takes away your ability to see what is happening and the blurry, tiny icons with glare on them, I can't fathom who thought this would be a good idea.
Added bonus the slabs take up like 100 inventory slots so they're annoying even if you decide to ignore this nonsense.
