Rs Enemies to PC Portraits

Omschrijving
A simple mod that converts eligible Enemies and Allies into PC Portaits. Brings the total of in-game Male portraits to 232 and Female portraits to 160.

Safe to remove even in the middle of your run, because all these portraits are just assets already included in the game.

  • v1.0: Initial Release.
  • v1.1: Added some extra portraits.
  • v1.2: Reorganized & Expanded with more portraits.
  • v1.3: Added 10 new portraits.
  • v1.4: Added 10 new portraits.
  • v1.5: Added 30 new portraits.

Hi Zaurgis, you can just subscribe to the mod; that's all the instructions.

You don't need to create your own version. Those instructions are for the curious about modding, who perhaps want to know how it was made.

If you followed these instructions to the letter and you see the mod but not the portraits, you may have a typo in your version. Perhaps a missed comma or an extra line, etc., where there shouldn't be any.

I'm having trouble activating this. I thought I followed the instructions correctly. But no new portraits and I have a new blank mod called " My Portraits" now. =(

Any chance this mod can be updated to include all portraits in the dlc as well? It would be a game changer.

This mod doesn't change anything other than allowing the use of enemy portraits already in the game as PC portraits. So, this particular issue likely lies with a different mod, perhaps one altering artworks. Besides, I've personally used this one forever with no issues.

Love this mod! But when one of the portraits shows as my ally, it shows up as just a white box, no portrait, is there a fix for this?

And released it! All 708 portraits for Male+female for as much customization as possible. Load of typing and spellchecking, but, its done. :)

Indeed, the tooltip name that appears when hovering over the enemy in the compendium will do. Or if you open the Enemy dB in notepad it's the Name: field.
Halita Silverblood 7 sep 2022 om 22:25
So, the ones viewable via the in-game Compendium, if I'm not mistaken. Those names - no internal hidden names like "armored_ghoul".

Will have to get to work and release it soon. :P
[ER] Raven  [auteur] 7 sep 2022 om 20:52
It uses the in-game enemy Name property. Referencing every enemy will increase the loading time, but should be reasonable, for the current amount of possible candidates.
Halita Silverblood 7 sep 2022 om 18:06
Does a mod's file like this use the ingame enemy names, or does the game use different internal names for enemies?

If I can, tempted to go through the entire enemy dictionary and make a mod that adds all to male+female(as a lot are ambiguous), but the knowledge above is needed.

((May or may not need a "page" system to handle some places...like "all" in the enemy dictionary, and perhaps player avatars. Stagger the image loading out so it doesn't lockup the game.))
