Luck
By Aezora
I use a lot of luck talents, so I decided to test it out. Here are the results.

Methodology
Basically, I went around with my 1500 luck (max is 1800) and tallied how many troves of each type I opened, and how many epics/legendaries I got from it. Then I repeated that, but without any luck talents. Finally, I took it, made a spreadsheet and applied some statistics.
Results
I continued collecting results until I got a 95% confidence interval of about 5%. That means the number I have should be within 5 percent of the actual drop rate. If I took a 100 of the same size samples, then 95 of those would be within that five percent. I spent more time however on the sample with luck, as you will soon see.

From an Orange Trove, with 1500 luck,
Chance to get an epic or better item: ~50%.
Chance to get a legendary item: ~12%.

From an Green Trove, with 1500 luck,
Chance to get an epic or better item: ~50%.
Chance to get a legendary item: ~50%.

From an Blue Trove, with 1500 luck,
Chance to get an epic or better item: ~15%.
Chance to get a legendary item: ~1%.

In total, I opened about 500 troves with 1500 luck.

Within twenty orange troves with 0 luck, I began to have a lot of doubts. Out of those 20 troves, I got 55% epic, and 30% legendary. That's a combined epic or better chance of 85%. Now obviously, I decided to apply some statistics. If the real chance of getting an epic or higher level item was 55% (max with confidence interval), then the chance of getting an 85% drop rate (or higher) with a sample of twenty would be <1%.

That being the case, I ended the experiment there. For orange troves, adding luck does not make you luckier.

HOWEVER:

It appears that adding luck more accurately moves luck. Although I haven't collected enough data to be able to fully confirm this, and I'm not planning on doing so, it appears that when you have more luck blue troves are significantly more likely to drop epic quality gear. Again though, I don't have a big enough sample to confirm this. If true, adding luck would be a decently good play style for those who choose not to spawn in high resource areas as it considerably increases the odds of you being well geared early on. And while I wasn't tracking it, it also appears to increase the chances of rare items appearing.
Conclusion/TLDR
Adding luck likely increases chance of getting good gear (rare/epic) from lower end troves, at the cost of your chances of getting high end gear (epic/legendary) from high end troves (orange/green).

Grre, that's perfectly fine. It's a 100% up to you which build you want to use and why. I was disputing mainly because to an outside observer it may seem like your results contradict mine. Hence I wanted to clarify that your results, if anything, support my data rather than oppose it.

don t really care of grapple lenght

ezora yeah that s exactly the point when i choose a "little" spawn that allow to get at least blue but most of the time purple item instead of grey and i can win the spawn if there s someone and or get out with good stuff ...but if i choose "big" spawn ( to train honstly) there s no need the point is that u choose betwween better stuff or grapple lenght ans i don t really or the lenght

Rumor says if you pray in front the orange troves before pressing E, you have much higher chance to get legendary items.

I generally land in an area where there are quite a few orange/green troves, and I know where they spawn. Hence, since having luck only reduces the chance of getting good gear from those troves, luck is useless to me. But if you don't open more than a few orange troves, either due to your spawn point or just because you don't know where they spawn, then luck can be quite useful.

Grre, it does depends on the types of troves you are opening. If you are mostly opening blue troves with just a couple orange troves, your data would fit mine perfectly. As I said, its not that it does nothing when you add luck, it makes it more likely all around to get blue gear, and more likely to get purple gear from blue troves, while making it less likely to get purple/gold gear from orange/green troves.

i started to explore the question but little differently : just got +400 luck and spawn the same place
i was purple armor and weapon 12/15 blue amor and purple weapon 1/15 and all blue 2/15

with 0 luck
1/10 full purple 1
1/10 gold weapon blue armor
1/10 purple weapon /grey armor
1/10 1 blue 1 grey
2/10 full grey
4/10 full blue
it s maybe only luck but i now play with +400 luck evrytime as i don t really care of the 10% loss of grapple reach

That's kinda the exact opposite of what the data shows. Its a placebo effect - I had it too. But once I took it off I realized it didn't seem to change much except reducing the likelihood of me getting blue gear.

Looking forward for more data regarding luck (i know you won't do it as you stated in your guide, but maybe someone will take it or expand what you did).
In my opinion, this sh1t is OP. You can literally spawn and get legendary armor and epic weapon in first few troves.
