overall john wick style
i know that not everyone has actually watched john wick, so i'd like to quickly define his style (in john wick 1 terms)
john wick does not waste bullets (except once or twice). john wick almost never misses and always aims for the head, or knee and then the head, sometimes the chest then the head, but his attacks usually follow this formula and so should yours.

john particularly uses pistols and the occasional rifle, or shotgun.

and most importantly, the thing i see missing in so many john wick boneworks videos, is GUNKATA AND CQC. john will very often mix in judo moves into his gun combat and arm grabbing, throws and leg kicks (though that's impossible here, shame there is no leg tracking) to debalance the enemy and then kill with a pistol shot. gunkata moves are pretty limited here, but some good stuff can still be done.

some examples of his combat stolen from tenor gifs and some similar styles in boneworks done by me:

shooting an enemy while grappling another,
then finishing them both off

arm grab maneuver

gun jab to the chest before reloading
into headshot

now some in boneworks:

1v3 with gunkata mixed in

another 1v3 with john wick style and perfect accuracy

and lastly a 1v5 with similar formula of near perfect
headshot accuracy and gunkata techniques

i do not mean to discourage improvising or style switch ups, but if you want to be as authentic to
john wick as possible, your style should follow this general outline, but a little extra style or gunplay
is acceptable. and remember, while john moves quick, you'll still look better slowing down to have perfect accuracy than being fast and missing repeatedly.
weapon choices/mods
in john wick 1, wick uses a glock 26, h&k p30l, and a ca-415 rifle. he also steals a kel tec ksg shotgun, though it isn't his. unfortunately to my knowledge atleast, none of these weapons exist as mods in boneworks for some strange reason despite a pretty big mod community and this game being a perfect oppurtunity for it, but one pistol from john wick 3 does exist atleast, the tti glock 34 from wick 2, and the ca-415 is more or less an hk416, and an hk416 mod DOES exist.

i have a pack of weapons cherry picked that i have all used alot, in the rar provided,[drive.google.com] i cant link to the original authors since bonetome is no more, and i don't think any of the mods have been reuploaded.

anyone who has already modded you know the drill, for any new players/unmodded look it up and figure it out, i don't need to explain it as its already been done many times, and its quite easy too.

weapons including:

- dw 1911
- sti combat master 2011, the pistol from john wick 3 with a suppressed version
- 1911a1 in olive drab with a suppressed variant
- p226
- kimber dw 1911 with green dot sights, reloading can be a bit finicky though
- hk416-c rifle with a collapsible stock and tactical variant
- hk416a5 cqb, with a tactical variant very similar to john wicks ca415
- skeletonized m4 with a tactical suppressed variant
- sti tactical 2011, not the combat master, ITS DIFFERENT
- suppressed 1911 classic with green dots
- fn fiveseven, in black
- a F U C K I N G P E N C I L

and some mods i CAN link:

- the sig sauer xfive,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] with 10 rounds and nice sounds
- a good quality m9[boneworks.thunderstore.io] with multiple variants
- a newer hk416,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] incase you don't like the one i provided
- a newer kimber 1911,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] i include the old one for legacy purposes and it has a different sound which you might prefer it?
- a usp,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which is an hk, and since john wick uses mainly hk it fits
- a glock 17,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which is pretty similar to the glock 26 that wick uses, so this is a good choice
- a p226 mk25,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which doesn't have anything inherently special about it but it shoots good. (PS. YOU CANT USE BOTH THIS GUN AND THE P226 IN THE RAR AT ONCE BECAUSE THEY'RE NAMED THE SAME I GUESS, SO IF YOU INSTALL THIS OVER IT IT'LL LOAD IN PLACE OF THAT ONE AND VICE VERSA IF YOU INSTALL THE OTHER ONE OVER THIS ONE.)
- the xm4,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which is a fantastic rifle. i explain why later.

and more guns are constantly being added at https://boneworks.thunderstore.io so give it a look every once and a while.

of which, some i will provide. since this is an update.

all these weapons ive personally used, so if some dope ass mod you like isnt on this list then feel free to give me a shout and ill check it out.

- the mp 443,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] one of several solid pistols ive used.
- an m9a1,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] you can never have enough italy built pistols in your life. comes with a few variants
- the tariq,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] long lost cousin of the m9. comes with a suppressed version
- a new combat master,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] sure to satisfy your wick needs

and at this point i ran out of space in this section. to be continued shortly

and with your weapons downloaded, you can also get the warden player model,[drive.google.com] incase you want a suit for the john wick feel.

and there is also john wick himself.[boneworks.thunderstore.io] he wasn't released when i first started this guide so not all of the footage uses him.

and some other mods:

- the ankle holster,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] for stuffing extra guns in there, or a knife when john wick prepares to go to the club and hides a knife on his ankle.
- gm_construct,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] the map i use for the white background for most of the demonstrations. incase you never played this map in gmod and somehow dont know where it is, go underneath the hangar thing by the building above, walk through the door on the left, down the steps, turn right, and turn left to find the white room.
- the soldier ford npc,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] its no suit ford since john wick mainly fights guys in suits, but its a bit less weird than ford and his crayola jumpsuit.
- the matrix lobby[boneworks.thunderstore.io] i used for the background in third person throws and gunkata
- the man CONNOR[boneworks.thunderstore.io] i used for all the third person examples
- 2b[boneworks.thunderstore.io] model i used for the gunkata update
weapon choices/mods (cont.)
since i spent so much on the original mods section, i had to make another one, RIGHT NEXT TO THE ORIGINAL.

so lets cover a bit more.

- tti glock 34.[boneworks.thunderstore.io] i know of your past fondness of the german varieties but, i can whole heartedly endorse the new breed of austrians.
recontoured grips, flared magwell for easier reloads, and i know you'll appreciate the custom porting.
- an update to the sti 2011,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] it sounds a bit different now and the appearance has been modified. still rocks the tactical variant
- some m9a3s,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] one suppressed.
- the cz75 phantom,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] the gun with my favorite ironsights. if anything, its reliable.
- glock 19.[boneworks.thunderstore.io] comes with ALOT of variants.
- the r6 ash pack,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] with several good weapons. including:

the 5.7 usg, a cousin of the five seven,
g36c,
r4-c,
and m45, one of my favorite 1911 variations.

aswell as weapons, a few others.

- the atrium,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] the map used for most of the new update demonstrations
- aura,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] model used for the demonstrations (dont come asking why i used it)
- realistic gun sounds,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] unnecessary but something that might be appreciated here.
- ford voice remover,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which mutes ford like the silent basilisk frfr. might be useful for anyone tired of his ceasing functionality noises
- no death animations,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] suggested by ru_ffles. stops ford busting a move when you blast his chrome dome.
- camera plus.[boneworks.thunderstore.io] this is something i forgot to add a long time ago. this is how i recorded third person footage. switch the camera to spectator to lock it in place.
- agent fordy seven requiem,[boneworks.thunderstore.io] which is just a sick ass requiem suit model.
- and lastly, gun tweaker.[boneworks.thunderstore.io]

this mod is very beneficial for 2 main reasons:

- it can fix the weight problem on assault rifles, making any rifle as effective as the xm4
- it can fix low magazine counts, incase your favorite weapon, like mine, has only 7 rounds. this is all 7 million gets?

demonstration of how to change weight: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/507612711434059776/975503435183034438/tweaker.gif

i had to put this in a link because the gif is just too long and compressing it into 2 mb would make it harder to understand whats happening than death stranding lore. so just open it.

(ps. if your gun tweaker isnt working, then your modisnotmod is probably dated. and if you update that and it doesnt work either, your melonloader is probably dated. if youve been clinging onto an old version for a while now like me, an enhancement may be in order.)
general tips before starting
play while standing up. and clear out as much room as possible.
serious john wick gameplay will involve alot of movement when doing gunkata,
mainly dodging and even crouching or turning in a 360, so standing up and having room
to shoot and aim while facing any direction is paramount. (if you don't have room, just use the in game turning and deal with the awkwardness, i don't have room myself.)

stay as calm as possible, no matter what the odds are.
this is easier said than done but getting tense or stressed will throw off your
concentration and make gunkata and aiming both much more difficult, so keep
your cool as best as you can and be ready for anything that might come at you.

practicing in sandbox
my method of practicing/being john wick is spawning 2 utility guns, spawn one and spawn your weapons, then set it to spawn fords, then spawn another and set it to the remover. put them both on your back, then your weapons on your sides. draw the utility gun to spawn fords, pull your gun and do your attack, then use the remover to clean up to save fps, and repeat this for as long as you want until you've done enough.

load a plus round
its a really minor thing but could save your clip. from an empty gun, load it, rack the slide, then eject the mag and put a new one in. this gives you one extra bullet for virtually any gun.

use slow motion to learn the motions
countering fords punches is tight, so use slow motion in the beginning to learn where to grab and how to dodge them, then speed it up until you can do it in real time with around 70-80% consistency. (100% is about impossible because you cant tell what punch he will throw, and if you go for a low punch a high punch will hit you, and if you go for a high punch you will miss the low punch and it may hit you aswell.)

count shots
this is a mentally tasking thing to do, but try to count your shots when fighting. this can be difficult
as it can be distracting enough to throw off your concentration of the enemies moves, but if you
can do it successfully you will always know when to reload and how to plan the rest of your shots.
nullbodies and how to handle them
so its time for a quick runthrough of all the enemies.

nullbody -
nullbodies have a few different attacks, they are similar to fords but attack on sight and their attacks are slower and can be reacted to rather than having to be anticipated, especially in slow motion.

they can do a long swing from over their head down to you, a quick swing from the lower center, a quick slap from the upper center, and a long swing from the right at about shoulder level.

nulbodies' attacks:

disclaimer
some of these clips are recorded in slow motion and may be impossible or
just very difficult to do in real time. this goes for all the enemies and ford.

i also switched controllers because one of my vive wands died in the middle of filming, so the later clips are filmed on index controllers.

to counter the overhead swing, take your left arm and grab the wrist just as the swing begins to come down and move it away from you, then take the opportunity to headshot and throw him to the floor with his wrist still in your hands. you can also grab his upper arm and pull it down instead.

to counter the quick swing, dodge to the left quickly and grab either wrist, or upper arms (easier), shoot the head quickly or knees to drop him, then headshot as he falls to the ground. you can also dodge it entirely and grab the head.

to counter the slap thing attack, dodge to the left or right and then grab the wrist and either headshot or knee shot to knock him down, and headshot. you can grab the arm aswell.

and to counter the left swing, keep your wrist straight and prepare to catch it as it comes toward you and move it away from you to the side, then headshot quickly, and pull his wrist back to throw him behind you. you can also avoid it entirely and grab his shoulder, but shoot quickly before he can counterattack.

and while it may be awkward, a hand to hand fight with a nullbody:

nullbodies in groups
nullbodies can be foughten in big groups without much struggle, just maintain awareness of all of them so none of them can sneak up on you from the side, and remember to multi task your targets

ford early exits (aka zombies)
ford early exits -
early exits/zombies are almost the same as nullbodies but their attacks differentiate slightly in form but retain the same general style of attack, and they're also a bit chonkier so the exact same movements from nullbodies might not work on them.

early exits' attacks:

most of his attacks are near identical to nullbodies but in slightly different form, so adjust accordingly.
ill be doing less explanation and more example videos.

left overhead swings:

right swipe/slap:

left slaps:

early exits in groups
early exits i believe are the hardest to fight in groups because they approach much quicker than nullbodies or fords and makes it much easier to get surrounded and outnumbered, so perfect headshot aiming and on-point reflexes to counter any incoming blows is a necessity.

headset early exits
headset early exits -
early exits are already bad, so combine this with a headset that makes them nearly unheadshottable.
headsets aren't as much of an issue as they are on fords because they look at you exposing their neck and chin under the headset, but early exits look straight down when approaching you meaning you cannot insta-kill them with a headshot until they get close and attack, then they will look up exposing their neck.

do not expect to fight them in a 1v6 or 1v10 and come out unharmed unless you really are john wick. think of it as a final exam.

this kind of difficulty combined with my f'ucked vive wand made recording footage for this a hell on earth.

when fighting them you have 3 different options:
- counter them and shoot under the headset (fast but risky (and wildly inconsistent))
- counter them and shoot their knees to knock them down, then headshot them under the headset (easy but slow)
- dodge their attack completely and use your gunkata arm to instead rip the headset off and headshot them (inbetween safe and risky)

they use the same attacks as normal early exits so all your moves will work the same here, but they will need to be readjusted to accommodate for the headsets' presence.

overhead swings:

left swings:

low left swings:

right slaps:

hand to hand combat. itll go the same way with a normal early exit so i only took 1 gif:

headset early exits in groups
the previous tactic of fast and accurate headshots is completely invalidated here by the headset, so surviving or especially flourishing by taking no damage during a high 1v like 1v6 will be extremely difficult and require near perfect movement, by shooting under headsets, ripping them off and countering as well. understandably i couldn't get much footage for this, and what i did is far from perfect.

the fights are also really long so not all of them could be made into under 2 mb gifs, steam rules i'm sorry.

arthur fords
arthur ford -
ford is the most realistic enemy you can fight and is the one i have the most
experience with, so getting all this footage was actually really easy.

i find fords best to john wick because its an actual human enemy, someone john wick could
actually fight (unless john wick 4 gets crazy) so i have alot of footage to show.

unlike other enemies he does not attack on sight so you will have to provoke him. you can shoot him once in the chest to do minimal damage but enough so he will attack.

ford has 2 main attacks and they are symmetrical: a low uppercut and a high fast jab, thrown the same way for either arms. he also has a short range hook jab only at close range, but you'll rarely see this as hes already dead before getting to throw this.

fords' attacks:

his jab can be countered in many ways. you can dodge and grab his arm or wrist, stand in place and just move your arm very quickly to catch it and move it to the side mid throw, or just avoid it entirely and counterattack. feel free to experiment.

unlike his jab the uppercut has less flexibility. it is harder to dodge and has some hitboxes even after he has seemingly thrown it, so if your not careful you may counter it and still get hurt even if it looks like he already threw the punch. you can counter it by moving your arm down low and grabbing his wrist or being precise and catching it as it comes upward.

hand to hand:

fords in groups
fords are great to fight in groups because their attacks can be more consistently countered than other enemies and they approach at a pace that isn't too slow or too quick, plus they are realistic.
i have once fought a 1v50 against them without damage, so don't be afraid to go crazy here.

third person examples
i did these with soldier fords but it shouldn't make a difference

headset fords
headset fords -
headset fords, like early exits are the same as normal ford, except he has headshot protection, but he also attacks on sight now aswell. if you round up a group just shoot and they'll come at you.

the options of fighting headset early exits are the same here, you can counter and shoot underneath (which i find it easier on ford), shoot his knees and shoot underneath, or rip it off and shoot.

jabs:

uppercuts:

and a hand to hand fight will go the exact same with a normal ford as soon as you rip his headset off which should be the first thing you do.

headset fords in groups
headset fords in groups are a bit easier than early exits because their slower approaching speed and more linear attacks, but don't get cocky, its still difficult.

good reflexes, aiming, and countering abilities paramount.

other enemies
other enemies
these are enemies that can't exactly be john wicked. they lack limbs or other places you could hit/grab to do john wick moves.

but regardless, here are some ways i imagine wick would handle these kinds of enemies if he ever fought them, though this is subjective and what i think might be different from what you imagine.

corrupted nullbody: i just wanna get this one out of the way quick because he can be john wicked, but he is the exact same as a normal nullbody in combat, so he doesn't need his own section.

crablets:

crablet plus:

omni projector: he can only really be handled in one way and that's to move his gun aside and shoot or whack him

the rest of the enemies are basically invincible/don't have any john wickish ways of being killed.

throws
ok so if you've ever watched john wick im sure you'll have noticed he throws people down sometimes, usually by the arm, judo style. (this is coming from a limited perspective, as of now i have only had time to watch john wick 1 and pieces of 2-3) i could never figure this out when first writing this guide but some time has passed and i found a way, but its somewhat inconsistent still. any insight on getting this down to pat and 90-100% consistent is appreciated.

so after a bit of research on the actual throw john wick does, it translates fairly well to boneworks.

a demonstration:

grab the outer wrist with your left, then get in close and grab the outer upper arm with your right, turn 180 and toss down. don't let go until you actually see him fall down infront of you, or he might just slide around you to the side.

and do be quick about punishing after it's done, ford gets up really quick.

this is a consistent throw but it's really inconsistent while in combat, getting into this position is very difficult while ford is throwing heat at you, but it isn't impossible.

if you have a weapon, i recommend firmly pistol whipping the arm you aren't going to throw. this will stop him from punching you while you are grabbing the arm you intend to throw with. if you don't have one, either take the risk and go in hard or rapidly punch the other arm to buy yourself a bit of time. (credit to this technique goes to my so, i dont know how i was retarded enough to not think of this myself)

examples in combat (some of these also done by my so):

there is also another technique which is similar, but from the outside

initiate like usual, but instead of grabbing the arm from the inside, do it from the outside, and toss down and to the left/right depending on which arm your throwing from. this is generally safer/quicker but not as cool as the previous.

there is alot of flexibility to throws, but your general outline should be to manipulate the wrist and upper arm, this seems to work best at knocking people over. feel free to experiment.

random throws:

various throws in third person:

1.3 update new gunkata
incase you thought the current gunkata is a bit weak, i dont blame you because i think its weak too. some time has passed and ive once again returned to this guide months later to give another update, possibly the last. i wouldnt count on it though.

anyway point is, i adapted a few things from watch dogs legion (the professional hitman takedowns)
and id like to show them off here. thanks ubisoft for the inspiration

id like to introduce a method of grabbing which will be used for almost all of these: under wrist

dubbed thee because its grabbing underneath the wrist. you dont grab the inside or outside, you grab the back from underneath. this is so when you wrap the opponents arm over you you dont destroy your wrist. its used for throws mainly.

some third person examples from all angles:

that being said, you can use this as a throw. underwrist wrap over your head then grab the upper arm with your spare arm and toss down and around. he should fall over.

but we're here for gunkata, so lets get to it with some pistols first. ill be giving a first and third person example for most/all of these.

i primarily stuck to ford but i also did a few nullbodies. this should work on any enemy so long as you can get under their wrist and wrap around.

now for some ford combat

this kind of technique will be used alot.

when ford moves in for a punch, grab underwrist and wrap him around you while turning 180. you can also move in earlier if you want and try to grab him while hes blocking or even while hes throwing a punch with the other arm.

it goes without saying you should be standing up with a decent amount of room and PHYSICALLY turning 180, doing it in game is awkward and might not work.

he should fall over as you do. if he doesnt you either did it wrong or he wasnt damaged prior, he usually wont fall over if he is unscathed. after he falls take this chance to boom headshot him while hes grounded. you can also crouch in for a pistol whip instead if necessary.

and a few things for the rifles

and lastly some extras

made this update high off sleep deprivation, so have fun

and remember: things can and do get awkward time to time

the 1.4 update
for this 1.4 update ive got a few new tricks.

to summarize it, we have an impossible move, a not so impossible move, crouching maneuvers, and wick style in sequence. may it begin.

first is a physically impossible move. call this cheating, but i figured id show it off anyway as its actually decently practical. i call it the pullaround.

this move involves grabbing the outer arm and pulling it toward you, wrapping around, almost like around your back - and he will spin behind around you, and trip. use this oppurtunity to blast his chrome dome.

this is, of course, physically impossible as during this your arm is actively clipping straight through your back in ways even double jointed people could not possibly imagine. but this is vr, we can bend the rules a little.

this can go in many different ways. depending on exactly where you grab, how you wrap and how fast you do it, aswell as how much damaged the enemy has sustained, you'll see different results. the most surefire way is to damage the target plenty, grab the outer right wrist and wrap quickly and with a broad range of movement. if you do it slowly, or with little damage done, weird things can happen.

they may not fall over,

or just have different movement.

so stay vigilant while performing it. this is theoretically possible without destroying your bones by actually spinning around with the target, but i frankly lack the courage to do it because i fear i may destroy another tv with how small my room space is. should you try, and it work, ill be waiting to hear from you.

more examples:

now that ive finished showing you 400 different gifs that all look the same to presumably waste your time, we can move on to something less impossible.

the pull
back.

while similar to the pullaround, the pullback functions differently. rather than spinning the target around you, you are spinning with the target. initiate a pullaround but instead of yanking him and wrapping, keep yanking while turning with him as he turns, and use your other arm to push his back along with the direction your going. i do this with a pistol, but you can probably do it with a rifle aswell and substitute it for a grab and push if your armless.

it requires more effort, aswell as space than the pullaround, but atleast you wont be breaking all rational logic while doing it.

i dont have 40 different gifs of me repeating the same moves over and over, but its not like you need that to understand how to do it. i hope.

crouch maneuvers

some stuff i came up with involving crouching, with no real specific method. (except for one) just sit back and watch the examples. also i should say now that your liable to take an l doing this.

while most of crouching attacks are free style, there is one specific method.

crouch, shoot and grab a calve, then try lifting it up. pretty much a guaranteed fall over. do what you want from there. you can even try yanking it like a pullaround or pullback for a similar result.

finally we have,
wick in sequence

there is nothing to be taught here. just examples of wick style execution takedowns. feel free to create your own, these are mine. ive decided to make them high quality, to do them justice. so they are links. steam 2mb limit can sugmanuts.

enjoy the update. i really need to stop coming back to this
left hand gunkata techniques
im by no means good with non-dominant hand shooting, but for any left handers out there here are some examples:

rifle combat
john mostly uses pistols but also some rifles, and while he does i have to say rifling is a bit awkward.

most rifles have weight/excessive weight to them, so trying to aim 1 handed (in the case of countering and punishing) it will wiggle. alot. (this is fixed with gun tweaker but leaving this in for legacy purposes) and by the time it stabilizes so you can shoot you have been punched by the other arm already.

so i want to specifically recommend the xm4 and skeleton m4 for this, because they are light and have little wiggle, meaning you can actually do gunkata with them. and for some controllers, atleast the vive wands, your spare arm can sometimes get stuck on the foregrip and not want to let go, so you might find yourself taking a few too many punches to the face trying to let go of it.

an example of the wiggle effect with the hk416 vs the skeleton m4:

it may not seem like a big deal, but it really is. try doing the moves you do with pistols with the hk416, then try doing them with the xm4. you WILL see a difference.

this doesn't mean its impossible to do with the hk416 or heavy rifles, but it will be considerably more difficult and your options will be more limited.

third person examples:

knife fighting
i know john wick is primarily shooting, but he does do a bit of knife fighting aswell.

here is some knife combat in his style:

now i know a pencil doesnt exactly fall under the same category as a knife,
but it does here.

improving your aim
improving your aim
this is alot easier said than done but i have some personal tips. not all of these may apply to real life though.

make sure your headset is actually configured properly
this is kinda obvious but the better your headset ipd is configured and lens distance the easier iron sights will be to see. i use an original vive myself so i can barely even see my sights, so if you have any up to date hmd it should be even easier to aim down sight. you can calculate ipd easily but not 100% accurate by holding a ruler above your eyes infront of a mirror and marking the distance inbetween your eyes. put the same number into your headset and you should have minimal glare/blur effect and sights will be easier to see.

look into the sweetspot
even if your headset ipd is good you should aim and look around with your eyes until you find the perfect spot where the sights are the clearest, and always aim when looking at this spot. these two tips may not apply to every headset because i've only used a classic vive.

ACTUALLY LOOK DOWN SIGHTS
this is very very obvious but you should actually aim down sights if you for some reason aren't already. you should only shoot off hand-eye coordination at very close range, past 5 paces your better off taking the time to line up a shot with the irons.

use guns with color dotted sights or dot sights (red dots)
if you still cant aim well you can try some pistols with dot sights on them. the m9 i included and sti 2011 tactical variant have them. i personally find them a bit awkward but you may find it easier. if you do, you can look for guns that have dotted sights (little colored dots on the sights). the kimber 1911s i included have them, among others.

relax your wrists
i feel like ill catch a bit of flack for this one, but if you tense up your wrists too much you'll find yourself fidgeting which can throw off your shot. don't exactly "limp wrist" but don't hold your controllers with a death grip.

when turning, turn in game instead of real life
when you turn in real life you'll more than likely throw off your aim a bit, so if you hold your aim still and just turn in game you can keep your sights lined up and your shot on point. this can look a bit awkward in clips however.

just hold the gun closer
if it helps you can just try holding the gun closer to your eyes so the sights appear bigger and more clear. this makes it easier to line them up but for me atleast, it may ♥♥♥♥ up your tracking or you just cant because the headset itself is in the way. you can get it closer to your eyes easier by holding it sideways [aka c.a.r. aiming, which is also how john wick will often aim]

try every gun
sometimes a gun is just not for you. so just try them all until you find the one that you can shoot best with. this may take some time but its best in the long run to find a good pistol instead of dealing with one you don't really like.

practice and build memory in the handgun time trial
when all else fails all you can do is brute force it until you win. go to the handgun range, get your favorite pistols and bang, bang, bang until you can aim well enough to get headshots in a row with little struggle. you don't have to be 100% consistent and get 40 headshots in a row in 20 seconds, john wick has aimbot. we humans do not. so don't be too hard on yourself.

by the end of your practice, you will hopefully have an aim similar to this:

(you don't have to actually aim this perfect 247. just that it should be within your abilities.)
reloading
reloading
ok so john wick reloads really cool right? well reloading luckily isn't a thing that needs a ton of skill and practice to do like beating ford in a 1v10 but more just the sense of style that just needs to be thought of and then executed. so here are some reloads.

you'll still need speed and accuracy, but a different kind...

speed reloading can be the difference between life or death, so its importance should not be understated.
user media
almost forgot to add this. if any of you have some kind of media, image gif video, you can submit it here and ill add it to this segment.

do put in some effort though, dont just throw random garbage at me, but i will try to be lenient

closing credits
and with alllllllll that finally done, have fun being john wick. or alot of frustration. usually both.

I actually found this quite useful, little did I know I've been doing some of these already. Furthermore, there's always room to improve and I might even try uploading some media pretty soon.
